    Charles Barker died at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington after a long illness. He was 75 years old.

    He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Cooksville Methodist Church, the Cooksville Town Board, and for many years a director of the Fletcher Grain Company.

    He was the son of Jesse Barker and Martha (Thompson) Barker. He was born near Holder. His family moved to a farm near Cooksville when he was a child.

    He married Mollie (Williams) Barker of Somerset, Kentucky on October 5, 1904.

    He was survived by his wife, Mollie (Williams) Barker; his sons, Jesse Barker of Cooksville, Carl Barker of Cooksville, and Elvin Barker of Gibson City; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Barker and Martha (Thompson) Barker; three sisters; and five brothers.

    Funeral services were held at Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington.
