Ross T. Monday, 82, of Norwalk, died Friday afternoon, Dec. 19, 2008, in Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

He was born June 4, 1926, in Speedwell, Tenn., and came to this area in 2002 from Clyde. He was a member of Trinity Temple,Milan. He retired in 1982 from Ford Motor Company, Sandusky, where he worked for 30 years.

Ross enjoyed fishing, gardening and collecting antiques.

He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Imogene (Varney) Monday of Norwalk; daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Bob Burger of Norwalk, Geri and Ronnie White of Castalia and Cathy Loden of Norwalk; stepson, George C. Stump of Pryor, Okla.; stepdaughter, Debbie Sheridan of Collingsville, Okla.; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law, Madge Miller of Lafollette, Tenn., Nell and George McCarty of Monroe, Mich., and Axie and Don Hilger of Lafollette.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Monday in 1997; brother, James Monday; and sister, Margaret Lowe.

Friends may call 2-5 p.m.Sunday in Walker Funeral Home, 98 West Main St., Norwalk, where funeral services will be at 11 a.m.Monday with the Rev. Jack Kiskaden, Pastor of Trinity Temple, officiating. Burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery, Clyde.

Services were held Monday in FoosKlein Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Finney, pastor of First Freewill Baptist Church, of which she was a member, officiating. Burial will be in Parkhurst Cemetery, Rural Clyde, Ohio. Born March 16, 1926, in Speedwell, Tenn., she was the daughter of John and Lottie C. (Leach) Ridings. She was married on Aug. 28, 1943, to Ross (Pete) Monday in Middlesboro, Ky. Surviving are her husband; three daughters Mrs. Robert (Rose) Burger of Norwalk, Ohio, Jerri White of Harriman, Tenn., and Kathy Monday Lowden of Houston; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Roberta Thomas. Memorials may be made to First Freewill Baptist church, 929 N. Main St., Clyde, OH, 43410.

John H. Ridings, 81, formerly of Speedwell, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Bellvue, Ohio.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Monday of Clyde, Ohio; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Speedwell Academy Church. Burial was in Monday Cemetery, Speedwell. Roach Mortuary, LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
