Notes: John Aaron lived in Pocket along the North Fork of the Powell River. His house was on the opposite side of the river from the road and there was no bridge. This river is not really deep or wide in all places but to keep from having to wade it all the time, they used a small boat to get to the house. John was well known for growing watermelons , especially yellow watermelons which were unheard of in that area. John married Lavina Stewart about 1896.
