Lee Roy Ridings was born June 3rd, 1938 in Pioneer, TN; the son of Henry David Ridings and Bertha Lee Rutherford Ridings. He was Baptist by faith. He served his country in the United States Air Force as an Airman. He was the owner of Ridings Auto Service in Greenville.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 55 years, Betty Ridings.

He is survived by his children, Ellen (Mike) Yeager of Greenville and David Ridings of Greenville; four siblings, Earl (Barbara) Ridings of Tazewell, TN, David Ridings of Griffin, GA; Guertrude Edmaison of Tazewell, TN, and Wanda Carper of New Castle, IN; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and special friend, Lois Ray.

Mrs. Ridings was born in Greenville on June 27th, 1940. She attended Greenville High School. She was self employed in her family's business, Riding's Auto Repair Shop and Towing, in Greenville.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Lee R. Ridings; a daughter, Ellen (Mike) Yeager of Greenville; a son, David Ridings of Greenville; four sisters, Virginia (J.D.) Jacobs of Tupelo, Ann (Jimmy) Franklin of Vaiden, Barbara (Johnny) Donald of Greenville, Deborah (Eldon) Huenergardt of Buffalo, OK; a brother, Clarence Edward (Sadie) Banks of Bossier City, LA; a sister-in-law, Margie Banks of Gulf Shores, AL; four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence S. Banks and Elmer Ferguson Banks; a brother, Len "G.L." Banks.

Visitation will be held 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 at Mortimer Funeral Home.

David Ridings was born December 1, 1847 and died July 30, 1926. He was married to Mary Tolmes and to this union was born 8 children, six living, 4 boys and 2 girls. Bro. Ridings professed faith in Christ and joined the Primitive Baptist Chruch at Pleasant Point and lived a faithful member. Mary Ridings, wife of David Ridings, aged 85 years, departed this life 1926.
