Izette Whitaker Ridings, 29, died at 10 a.m. on Dec. 4 at the General Hospital in Cincinnati, O. She was born and reared in Claiborne County, married Carl Ridings July 1941 and has lived in Cincinnati since 1946.
She is survived by her husband Carl of Cincinnati; two daughters Ellen Jeanette and Carlotta Ceona; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Birdie Marshall Whitaker of Harrogate; two brothers Floyd Clayton Whitaker of Cincinnati and Robert Lewis Whitaker of Harrogate and five sisters Mrs. Mildred Thelma Ellison, Sylvia Irene, Billie Jean, Mabel Lucille and Martha Nell Whitaker.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 7 at the Pump Hollow Chapel of Harrogate with the Rev. Joe Lambert officiating. Burial was in the family (Shull) Cemetery at Harrogate. Cawood Funeral Home in charge.
