Died:
McNutt, 58, Gas City, passed away at 1:09 p.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in his home. He was born in Marion on June 2, 1960, to the late Watheta McNutt.

Kent was an employee of Caravan Facilities Management. He previously was the owner of Twin City Laundromat, as well as the owner of Moknutt’s Fireworks in Gas City. He was a member of Deer Creek Conservation Club and loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed coin collecting and fireworks. Kent was very thoughtful and faithfully sent out birthday cards to many friends and family. He was also known for making and giving wonderful Christmas cookies to all his friends and family.

He is survived by his aunt, Alberta Wamsley, Warsaw; cousins, Kelly (Kimmi Jo) Timmons, Warsaw, Shelly Whitaker, Warsaw, Ed Timmons, Warsaw, Chris McNutt, Fairmount, Lori Ann (Tony) Ehmer, Marion, and Teri Sue Mihelich, Marion; and best friends, John (Cindy) Atkinson, Marion, and Brian (Missy) Whitehead, Upland.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Watheta, and grandmother, Edith McNutt.

A memorial service for Kent will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Immediately following the visitation, a memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.

Watheta J. McNutt, 82, Gas City, died at 12:51 p.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at Marion General Hospital. She was born in Bonnie Blue, Virginia, to the late Stallard and Edith (Moore) McNutt.

Watheta was a computer operator and previously worked at Crystal Laundry in Jonesboro. She was also previously employed at General Tire and RCA in their data entry/payroll departments. Watheta liked to travel, read about everything, and go to rummages and craft festivals. She always looked forward to watching fireworks, especially the ones her son did. In addition to all who had an opportunity to know her, Watheta will be missed by her family and friends, with whom she enjoyed visiting.

She is survived by her son, Kent McNutt, Gas City; sister, Alberta "Sue" Wamsley, Warsaw; nephews and nieces, George E. Timmons, Jr., Warsaw, Lori (Tony) Ehmer, Marion, Kelly (Kim) Timmons, Warsaw, Shelly Timmons, Warsaw, Teri Mihelich, Marion, and Chris McNutt, Fairmount; and several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lorin McNutt.

The family will have a memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements are entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City.

Gas City. Indy: three daughters, Mrs, Edith McKnight. Gas City, Ind., Mrs. Iva Williams, Jonesboro, Ind, and Mrs. Dorothy Johns, Atlanta, Ga.; four sisters, Mrs. Pansy Stapleton, Jonesboro, Ind. Mrs. Beulah Stillman, Kingston, N. C., and Miss Susie Coffman, St. Charles; two brothers, Claude Coffman and Johnny Coffman, both of New Lebanon, Ohio; 26 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the St. Charles Christian Church with the Rev. Donald Tapp officiating. Burial was in Cecil Cemetery. Province Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
