365	Chapel services for Betty N. Hale, 76, of Mesquite, formerly of Chandler, are scheduled for noon Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Tyler Memorial Funeral Chapel with Dr. Paul Brown officiating. Entombment will follow in the Field of Honor Mausoleum in Tyler Memorial Park. Mrs. Hale was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Wilkes County, Ga., to the late Harry and Estelle Gill Norman, and passed away Nov. 11, 2009, in Rowlett. She had lived in Mesquite since 2002, was a business office collection clerk for East Texas Medical Center and a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church and a former member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hale is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and two brothers. She is survived by a daughter, Becky Day and husband Jim of Mesquite; three grandchildren, Michael Day of Mesquite, Richard Day of Dallas and Katie Day of Mesquite; two sisters-in-law, Betty Norman and Baylor Blair; aunt, Carrie Norman; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Lovey. 366	Charles Barker died at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington after a long illness. He was 75 years old. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Cooksville Methodist Church, the Cooksville Town Board, and for many years a director of the Fletcher Grain Company. He was the son of Jesse Barker and Martha (Thompson) Barker. He was born near Holder. His family moved to a farm near Cooksville when he was a child. He married Mollie (Williams) Barker of Somerset, Kentucky on October 5, 1904. He was survived by his wife, Mollie (Williams) Barker; his sons, Jesse Barker of Cooksville, Carl Barker of Cooksville, and Elvin Barker of Gibson City; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Barker and Martha (Thompson) Barker; three sisters; and five brothers. Funeral services were held at Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington. 367	Charles Cam Newman, 60, of Jonesville, died Sunday, March 20 after a brief illness. Mr. Newman was a lifelong resident of Lee County. He was a member of the Hurricane Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Maude Newman: four sons, Chris, Odie, Barlow and Cam Newman, Jr. all of Jonesville; four daughters, Ms. Mollie Sewell, Mrs. Nancy Byrd Warner, Mrs. Ruby Ely and Mrs. Bonnie Hopkins, all of Jonesville; one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Coffman, St. Charles, 29 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. 368	Charles D. Ridings, 52, Jonesville, Va. JONESVILLE, Va. - Charles D. Ridings, of the Sandy Ridge community of Jonesville, Va., was born in the Pucketts Creek community of Pennington Gap, Va., on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1952 and passed away on Friday (Jan. 7, 2005) at the Lee Regional Medical Center in Pennington Gap at the age of 52 years. A lifelong resident of Lee County, he was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA. Charles was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church of Jonesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Daniel (Snook) and Bernice Parsons Ridings; one brother, Dickie Ridings; and mother-in-law, Beulah Harris. Charles is survived by his wife, Mary Harris Ridings of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Nicole Davis and husband, Paul of Jonesville; one granddaughter, Mackenzie Davis; four brothers, Bill Ridings, Eddie Ridings and Rick Ridings, all of Jonesville, and Wayne Ridings of St. Charles, Va.; three sisters, Barbara Tester and Hazel Tester, both of Dayton, Ohio, and Patsy Brooks of Jonesville; sister-in-law, Margaret Harris of the home; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and many friends. 369	Charles H. Chance, age 73, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020. Charlie began his career with TVA over 40 years ago as a home inspector in the 1970’s. He returned to college in the early 1980’s to gain knowledge in the increasing world of computers and technology and then was promoted to computer programmer. He loved his job and retired from TVA as a network administrator. Charlie grew up on the lakes of Tennessee helping his fathers’ work as a zoologist. He was an avid outdoorsman before his health became an issue. Among many outdoor activities, boating, and camping ranked as his favorite while enjoying nature. Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Edna Chance; wife, Karen Parks Chance. 373	Charlie F. Widener, Jr, age 80 of Camanche, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at his home. In following Charlie's wishes cremation rites will be accorded. Charlie was born is Straight Creek, Kentucky on January 24, 1944, the son of Charlie F. and Beedie (Sparks) Widener, Sr. He married Helen Stoddard on June 27, 1964 in Savanna. Helen passed away in 2020. Charlie had been employed at Clinton Corn Processing Company, later at Central Steel and Tube and then the City of Sabula as the Sewer Plant Operator. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, and cooking. 377	Clarence Kegley age 92 of Russellville, Ohio passed away Saturday September 16, 2017 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, OH with his family by his side. He was born July 23, 1925 in Lewis County, KY the son of the late George Henry and Anna (Elliott) Kegley. Mr. Kegley was a farmer, township trustee, and entrepreneur (founder of the Brown County Speedway and the Midway Restaurant). He was a charter member of the Georgetown Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, trustee and treasurer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cabin he built in “Kegley Holler” and always looked forward to reuniting with family at the annual Kegley reunion each Labor Day. He was also a WWII veteran of the “Amphibious” Navy. He was aboard LST292 and landed at the invasion of Normandy in June 1944. Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Thelma M DeAtley Kegley and siblings Vada Rigdon, Dorthy Jester, Virginia Carpenter, Willard Kegley, Clyde Kegley, Ora Kegley and Elwood Kegley. 378	CLARENCE TILLER SR. Funeral services for Clarence Tiller Sr., 57, of Carbondale, Colo., former Rock Springs resident who died suddenly following a heart attack at his home Saturday morning, May 10, were held Thursday afternoon at Vase Funeral Home in Rock Springs. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Volder Courtier, Jackson R. Forbes, William Domson, Joseph Tardoni, and George and Wayne Rogers. The son of the late James and Emma Grindill Tiller, Mr. Tiller was born at Bevier, Mo.; July 11, 1911. He was a former long-time resident of Rock Springs, leaving this city 10 years ago, after the mines closed. He had lived in Carbondale since that time. At the time of his death, Mr. Tiller was a mine foreman for Mid-Continent Coal and Coke Co. Surviving are his wife, the former Grace Jackson, Carbondale; three sons, John David, Clarence Jr. and James Charles, and one daughter Clairann, all of Carbondale; one brother, Bill, Carlsbad, N.M.; one sister, Mrs. Irene Wiggins, Macon, Mo., and several nieces and nephews. He was a member and Deacon of Midway Baptist Church for 42 years, most recently a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Cleadis retired from The United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He served in Korea and Vietnam wars. After retiring, he owned and operated Smith’s TV Service for many years. Cleadis loved his church, the Lord, his family, and his friends. Mr. Harness, a McLean County native, died at 4:26 a.m. Monday (March 5, 1990) at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. He was born May 28, 1915, at Cooksville, a son of Isaac B. and Margaret A. Harness. He married Mary Dunn Spillman Nov. 9, 1963, at Galesburg. She died Oct. 6, 1985. Survivors include two sons, Rodney Spillman, Minonk, and Edward Spillman, 205 W. Emerson St., Bloomington; one daughter, Liz Giarette, 1700 N. School St., Normal; two brothers, Bill, 1607 S. Center St., Bloomington, and Harry, Donalsonville, Ga.; and three grandchildren. Mr. Harness was an electrician for many years at Illinois State University and a 30-year member of Local 197 of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. In the early days of radio, Mr. Harness operated a radio station on Sunday afternoons at the Colonial Theater in Colfax. He continued his interest in radio as an amateur operator. Scott on July 25, 1988, in Clinton. She attended Fulton (Ill.) schools. She was a nurse's aide at various nursing homes and home care facilities for more than 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents Singleton Brooks and Amanda Jane Lawson Brooks, his beloved wife of 60 years, Alice Fuson Brooks, daughter Myra Jane Brooks, and granddaughter Amanda Lynn Sumpter. He is survived by his precious daughter Valerie Brooks Sumpter (Jim Sumpter), sister Vennah Brooks Haga, numerous nieces and nephews, and special neighbors and friends that were like family to him, Fred Wells and family and Barbara and Stacey and family. She was born October 5, 1924 in Campbell County, TN, one of eight children born to Aaron T. and Florence Bailey Nelson. Mrs. Hendren retired from the Department of Energy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Julius Hendren, January 15, 2008, who was also a retiree of the Department of Energy. She and her husband were both long-time members of First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. She had been active on many church committees and church activities. Mrs. Hendren participated in many area groups for professional women. She was an avid bridge player in many circles. She also enjoyed monthly lunches with graduates of Coal Creek High School. She is survived by brother, Aaron J. Nelson of Jacksboro; sister, Bonnie N. Farmer of Knoxville and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, including local niece, A. Rebecca Wood of Knoxville. 394	Coach Willie Hendrickson, 80, of Middlesboro, (Kentucky) passed away Monday, March 15, 2004, at the Fort Sanders - Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born February 15, 1924, at Fourmile, Kentucky, the son of the late Cordie Hendrickson. He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church. Coach Hendrickson, as he was affectionately known to most everone, was a former Bell County Judge Executive. He coached Basketball for 20 seasons at Lone Jack, Bell County and Middlesboro High Schools. He was a longtime teacher and school administrator. He was an Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was inducted into the Kentucky High School Association Hall of Fame in 1998. His survivors include Dorothy Hendrickson, his wife of 57 years. His three children: Kay (Phillip) Brooks, Peachtree City, Georgia; Billy Hendrickson, Middlesboro; and Missy (Tony) King, of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was survived by two grandchildren: Jill (Mark) Chadwell Johnson of Tupelo, Mississippi; and Eric (Mandy) Chadwell of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was also survived by 4 great grandchildren: Brenna Johnson, Hannah Kate Johnson, Caroline Chadwell and Ian Steele Chadwell. 396	Coba O. Collins was born in Claiborne County, Tennessee on October 31, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Robert Matthew Collins and Hulda (Tolliver) Collins. Coba was 93 years old at the time of her passing. She had been a patient at the Hospice, Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Coba grew up working the family farm and she married in 1934 at the age of 16 to Foister Keck. From this union came the birth of four children: Gene, L.M., Billy Ray, and Betty. The family moved to Michigan in 1948. Coba supported her family as a Nurse's Aide. She was employed from 1965 until her retirement in 1987 by Mercy Memorial Hospital. For more than fifty years Coba was a faithful member of the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by a son: Billy Ray Keck; a daughter-in-law: Jean Keck; a brother: Conda Collins; and a great-great grandson: Gary A. Keck. To cherish her memory Coba leaves three children: Eugene, (Gene) Keck of Monroe, L.M. 397	COFFMAN JR., George Henry, age 74, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at St. Leonard Retirement Community in Centerville. George graduated from Waynesville High School, class of 1968. He attended a Secondary School of Industry in Louisville, Kentucky following high school. From a young age, he was raised as a Pentecostal believer and kept his Christian faith his whole life. He retired after 35 years of work from General Motors - Frigidaire. He loved being around water, whether it was water skiing, boating, or fishing. His favorite places to travel were Rocky Fork Lake, Lake Erie, and the family property in Sevierville, Tennessee. He also greatly enjoyed golfing and bowling. He especially loved funnel cakes, so much that he had a funnel cake trailer that he would take to different festivals and events. He had a special place in his heart for all animals, especially his dogs. In his spare time, he enjoyed volunteering at a variety of different events including the spring clean-up at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. Woodworking was also one of his hobbies, which he used to help his wife make decorative wreaths. He was an assistant in many local Girl Scout Camps, including Camp Stonybrook in Waynesville, Camp Whip Poor Will in Morrow, and Camp Butterworth in Maineville. He continued as an assistant even after being stricken with Parkinson’s disease. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Zelma Coffman. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cherle, one daughter Karen Coffman, and one granddaughter Katelyn Abney. There was always a special place in his heart for his daughter and granddaughter. Craig grew up in the Dodds Pentecostal Church and was a 1981 graduate of Waynesville High School and the Warren County Career Center. He was a self employed electrical contractor for over 30 years. A member of the Waynesville American Legion, he was also a vocalist and bassist for the band Circus Ricky. He greatly enjoyed playing foosball and playing music with any instrument with a string on it. Craig was very proud of his sons. As a man who always enjoyed helping others, he continued to help others even after his death by being an organ and tissue donor. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Coffman. Mrs. Hale was born Nov. 23, 1932, in Wilkes County, Ga., to the late Harry and Estelle Gill Norman, and passed away Nov. 11, 2009, in Rowlett. She had lived in Mesquite since 2002, was a business office collection clerk for East Texas Medical Center and a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church and a former member of Fifth Street Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Hale is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert and two brothers. Charles Barker died at Mennonite Hospital in Bloomington after a long illness. He was 75 years old.

He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Cooksville Methodist Church, the Cooksville Town Board, and for many years a director of the Fletcher Grain Company.

He was the son of Jesse Barker and Martha (Thompson) Barker. He was born near Holder. His family moved to a farm near Cooksville when he was a child.

He married Mollie (Williams) Barker of Somerset, Kentucky on October 5, 1904.

He was survived by his wife, Mollie (Williams) Barker; his sons, Jesse Barker of Cooksville, Carl Barker of Cooksville, and Elvin Barker of Gibson City; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Barker and Martha (Thompson) Barker; three sisters; and five brothers.

Funeral services were held at Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington.

JONESVILLE, Va. - Charles D. Ridings, of the Sandy Ridge community of Jonesville, Va., was born in the Pucketts Creek community of Pennington Gap, Va., on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 1952 and passed away on Friday (Jan. 7, 2005) at the Lee Regional Medical Center in Pennington Gap at the age of 52 years.
A lifelong resident of Lee County, he was a retired coal miner and member of the UMWA.
Charles was a member of the Beech Grove Baptist Church of Jonesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Daniel (Snook) and Bernice Parsons Ridings; one brother, Dickie Ridings; and mother-in-law, Beulah Harris.

Charles H. Chance, age 73, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020.

Charlie began his career with TVA over 40 years ago as a home inspector in the 1970’s. He returned to college in the early 1980’s to gain knowledge in the increasing world of computers and technology and then was promoted to computer programmer. He loved his job and retired from TVA as a network administrator.

Charlie grew up on the lakes of Tennessee helping his fathers’ work as a zoologist. He was an avid outdoorsman before his health became an issue. Among many outdoor activities, boating, and camping ranked as his favorite while enjoying nature.

Preceded in death by parents, Jack and Edna Chance; wife, Karen Parks Chance.

Clarence Kegley age 92 of Russellville, Ohio passed away Saturday September 16, 2017 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, OH with his family by his side. He was born July 23, 1925 in Lewis County, KY the son of the late George Henry and Anna (Elliott) Kegley.

Mr. Kegley was a farmer, township trustee, and entrepreneur (founder of the Brown County Speedway and the Midway Restaurant). He was a charter member of the Georgetown Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, trustee and treasurer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the cabin he built in “Kegley Holler” and always looked forward to reuniting with family at the annual Kegley reunion each Labor Day. He was also a WWII veteran of the “Amphibious” Navy. He was aboard LST292 and landed at the invasion of Normandy in June 1944.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Thelma M DeAtley Kegley and siblings Vada Rigdon, Dorthy Jester, Virginia Carpenter, Willard Kegley, Clyde Kegley, Ora Kegley and Elwood Kegley.

Funeral services for Clarence Tiller Sr., 57, of Carbondale, Colo., former Rock Springs resident who died suddenly following a heart attack at his home Saturday morning, May 10, were held Thursday afternoon at Vase Funeral Home in Rock Springs.

Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Volder Courtier, Jackson R. Forbes, William Domson, Joseph Tardoni, and George and Wayne Rogers.

The son of the late James and Emma Grindill Tiller, Mr. Tiller was born at Bevier, Mo.; July 11, 1911. He was a former long-time resident of Rock Springs, leaving this city 10 years ago, after the mines closed. He had lived in Carbondale since that time.

At the time of his death, Mr. Tiller was a mine foreman for Mid-Continent Coal and Coke Co.

Surviving are his wife, the former Grace Jackson, Carbondale; three sons, John David, Clarence Jr. and James Charles, and one daughter Clairann, all of Carbondale; one brother, Bill, Carlsbad, N.M.; one sister, Mrs. Irene Wiggins, Macon, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.

Cleadis Grant Smith, age 91 of LaFollette went home to be with the Lord Saturday, February 8, 2020.

He was a member and Deacon of Midway Baptist Church for 42 years, most recently a member of Liberty Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Cleadis retired from The United States Air Force after 22 years of service. He served in Korea and Vietnam wars. After retiring, he owned and operated Smith’s TV Service for many years. Cleadis loved his church, the Lord, his family, and his friends.

The funeral of Clifford "Ike" Harness, 74, of 1700 N. School St., Normal, retired electrician and amateur radio operator, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Brady Funeral Home, Bloomington. The Rev. Fred Belcher will officiate. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Harness, a McLean County native, died at 4:26 a.m. Monday (March 5, 1990) at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.

He was born May 28, 1915, at Cooksville, a son of Isaac B. and Margaret A. Harness. He married Mary Dunn Spillman Nov. 9, 1963, at Galesburg. She died Oct. 6, 1985.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney Spillman, Minonk, and Edward Spillman, 205 W. Emerson St., Bloomington; one daughter, Liz Giarette, 1700 N. School St., Normal; two brothers, Bill, 1607 S. Center St., Bloomington, and Harry, Donalsonville, Ga.; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Harness was an electrician for many years at Illinois State University and a 30-year member of Local 197 of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

In the early days of radio, Mr. Harness operated a radio station on Sunday afternoons at the Colonial Theater in Colfax. He continued his interest in radio as an amateur operator.

He was an Army veteran of World War II.

Clyde W. Brooks of Lexington, Kentucky, formerly of Middlesboro, Kentucky passed peacefully to heaven on November 15, 2022. He was 83 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents Singleton Brooks and Amanda Jane Lawson Brooks, his beloved wife of 60 years, Alice Fuson Brooks, daughter Myra Jane Brooks, and granddaughter Amanda Lynn Sumpter.
He is survived by his precious daughter Valerie Brooks Sumpter (Jim Sumpter), sister Vennah Brooks Haga, numerous nieces and nephews, and special neighbors and friends that were like family to him, Fred Wells and family and Barbara and Stacey and family.
Clyde was employed in auto parts retail 48 ½ years and was manager at Reliable Supply Co (Car Quest).
A lifelong Baptist, he trusted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age and studied his Bible daily. In retirement he enjoyed reading, feeding birds and squirrels, and visiting neighbors. Clyde was a true fan and follower of UK basketball.
The family of Clyde W. Brooks will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the Green Hills Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the Green Hills Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. William Boyd Bingham III presiding. Music will be provided by Mrs. Thomasa Risner.
Interment will follow at the Middlesboro Cemetery in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be Jim Sumpter, Randy Evans, Kenny Evans, David Fuson, Rodney Fuson, Billy Beeler and Dwayne Barnes

Clyde was the son of James and Mary Ann (Hess) Coffman. When a young boy he moved to Texas with his family in a covered wagon and attended school. While attending Bible college at Tecumseh, Oklahoma he became an ordained minister. He held revival meetings in Texas and Oklahoma where he journeyed.

He married Emma Edith "Jane" Martin during the summer of 1927 in Tecumseh, Okla. They were blessed with 4 children. Between 1952-1954 Clyde and Emma moved to Wenatchee, Washington. While resideing there he was a journeyman carpenter by trade. During his career in the construction business he helped to build well known structures such as the Rocky Reach Dam, and the Space Needle for the World's Fair. Including many other projects and structures in the states of Washington and Alaska.

At the time of his passing he was survived by two sons. And two daughters; Mary Lu Allen and Yvonne Allen.

Clydia Ophelia Hendren, age 88, of Oak Ridge, died unexpectedly, Friday, July 5, 2013 at the Methodist Medical Center.

She was born October 5, 1924 in Campbell County, TN, one of eight children born to Aaron T. and Florence Bailey Nelson.

Mrs. Hendren retired from the Department of Energy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Julius Hendren, January 15, 2008, who was also a retiree of the Department of Energy. She and her husband were both long-time members of First Baptist Church of Oak Ridge. She had been active on many church committees and church activities. Mrs. Hendren participated in many area groups for professional women. She was an avid bridge player in many circles. She also enjoyed monthly lunches with graduates of Coal Creek High School.

She is survived by brother, Aaron J. Nelson of Jacksboro; sister, Bonnie N. Farmer of Knoxville and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family, including local niece, A. Rebecca Wood of Knoxville.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 10, 2013 from 12 – 2pm at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral will begin at 2pm with Rev. Tim Borchert officiating and Dr. Larry Dipboye assisting. The interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.

The family asks that any memorials be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetic Association or Alzheimer's TN.

Coach Willie Hendrickson, 80, of Middlesboro, (Kentucky) passed away Monday, March 15, 2004, at the Fort Sanders - Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee. He was born February 15, 1924, at Fourmile, Kentucky, the son of the late Cordie Hendrickson. He was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church. Coach Hendrickson, as he was affectionately known to most everone, was a former Bell County Judge Executive. He coached Basketball for 20 seasons at Lone Jack, Bell County and Middlesboro High Schools. He was a longtime teacher and school administrator. He was an Air Force Veteran of World War II. He was inducted into the Kentucky High School Association Hall of Fame in 1998.
His survivors include Dorothy Hendrickson, his wife of 57 years. His three children: Kay (Phillip) Brooks, Peachtree City, Georgia; Billy Hendrickson, Middlesboro; and Missy (Tony) King, of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was survived by two grandchildren: Jill (Mark) Chadwell Johnson of Tupelo, Mississippi; and Eric (Mandy) Chadwell of Knoxville, Tennessee. He was also survived by 4 great grandchildren: Brenna Johnson, Hannah Kate Johnson, Caroline Chadwell and Ian Steele Chadwell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Boyd Bingham and the Rev. Larry Pursifull presiding. Music will be provided by Jimmy Jackson and Dickie Siler.
Interment will be in the Pineville Cemetery, where full military honors will be given by American Legion Dewey Guy Post #14. Pallbearers will be: John and Al Brock, Sammy York, Larry Tom Davis and Bruce Hendrickson. Honorary pallbearers will be his former basketball players: Bob Madon, South Bevins, Brad Miracle, Paul Lee, Troy "Frog" Welch, Jack Smith and Rudy Williamson.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Friday, at the Creech Funeral Home.

Coba O. Collins was born in Claiborne County, Tennessee on October 31, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Robert Matthew Collins and Hulda (Tolliver) Collins. Coba was 93 years old at the time of her passing. She had been a patient at the Hospice, Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Coba grew up working the family farm and she married in 1934 at the age of 16 to Foister Keck. From this union came the birth of four children: Gene, L.M., Billy Ray, and Betty. The family moved to Michigan in 1948. Coba supported her family as a Nurse's Aide. She was employed from 1965 until her retirement in 1987 by Mercy Memorial Hospital. For more than fifty years Coba was a faithful member of the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by a son: Billy Ray Keck; a daughter-in-law: Jean Keck; a brother: Conda Collins; and a great-great grandson: Gary A. Keck.
To cherish her memory Coba leaves three children: Eugene, (Gene) Keck of Monroe, L.M. (Faye) Keck of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Betty Keck of Monroe; two brothers: Robert Matthew (Hilda) Collins of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Raymond (Ann) Collins of New Tazewell, Tennessee; a sister-in-law: Mae Collins of Morristown, Tennessee; five grandchildren: Roger, Mark, Mike, Kenny, and David Keck; nine great grandchildren: Ryan, Danny, Lucas, Chad, Kaitlyn, Eric, Damon, Chelsea, and Brittney; and five great-great grandchildren.
Merkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Services were held at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Roy Southerland officiated. Claiborne=Overholt Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Cole officiating in Tazewell, TN.

COFFMAN JR., George Henry, age 74, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at St. Leonard Retirement Community in Centerville.

George graduated from Waynesville High School, class of 1968. He attended a Secondary School of Industry in Louisville, Kentucky following high school. From a young age, he was raised as a Pentecostal believer and kept his Christian faith his whole life. He retired after 35 years of work from General Motors - Frigidaire.

He loved being around water, whether it was water skiing, boating, or fishing. His favorite places to travel were Rocky Fork Lake, Lake Erie, and the family property in Sevierville, Tennessee. He also greatly enjoyed golfing and bowling. He especially loved funnel cakes, so much that he had a funnel cake trailer that he would take to different festivals and events. He had a special place in his heart for all animals, especially his dogs. In his spare time, he enjoyed volunteering at a variety of different events including the spring clean-up at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. Woodworking was also one of his hobbies, which he used to help his wife make decorative wreaths.

He was an assistant in many local Girl Scout Camps, including Camp Stonybrook in Waynesville, Camp Whip Poor Will in Morrow, and Camp Butterworth in Maineville. He continued as an assistant even after being stricken with Parkinson’s disease.

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Zelma Coffman. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cherle, one daughter Karen Coffman, and one granddaughter Katelyn Abney. There was always a special place in his heart for his daughter and granddaughter.

The family will receive friends 10:00 - 11:00 AM Thursday, February 25 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. COFFMAN, Aaron "Craig" age 53 of Waynesville passed away Sun. Oct. 4, 2015. Craig grew up in the Dodds Pentecostal Church and was a 1981 graduate of Waynesville High School and the Warren County Career Center. He was a self employed electrical contractor for over 30 years. A member of the Waynesville American Legion, he was also a vocalist and bassist for the band Circus Ricky. He greatly enjoyed playing foosball and playing music with any instrument with a string on it. Craig was very proud of his sons. As a man who always enjoyed helping others, he continued to help others even after his death by being an organ and tissue donor. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Coffman. He is survived by his three sons Aaron D., Daniel, and Adam Coffman; his mother Alice Coffman; four brothers Jeff (Melinda), Gary (Kim), Michael (Tabby), and Eric Coffman; two sisters Amy Coffman and Tora Coffman-Foley; and several extended family members and friends. Funeral services 11 AM Fri. Oct. 9 at the Dodds Pentecostal Church. Bennie Sutherland and Zach Coffman will be officiating. The family will receive friends 5-9 PM Thurs. at the church.
