Pansy Williams, age 85, of London, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 11, 2025 surrounded by her family.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 69 years, Hack Williams; her daughter, Darlene Coffey & husband David; three grandchildren, Amanda Coffey-Overbey, Zach Coffey, Trevor Coffey; three great grandchildren, Kamdon Overbey, Emma Ratliff, Jack Basil Coffey; two siblings, Rebecca Williams of London, KY, Charles Hale & wife Cathy of Carmi, IL; her lifelong friend, Nancy Overbey; two special caregivers, Mary Smith & Diana Mounce; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude & Otie Smith Hale.
Pansy was retired from First National Bank, where she worked faithfully as a teller and later as a branch manager.
Pansy had a natural gift for nurturing—whether it was tending her garden, canning vegetables, or preparing a home-cooked meal, she poured love into everything she did. She was truly a professional grandmother and great-grandmother, never missing a chance to spoil her family with care, stories, and good food.
In her younger years, she was an avid bowler and even served as a lifeguard while still in school—early signs of the energy and determination that would define her life. Her hands were rarely still, and her heart was always full.
Pansy's life was one of quiet strength, devotion, and joy in the simple things. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
A graveside service honoring Pansy Williams will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. at Hale Cemetery in London, Kentucky with Johnny Day officiating. The family will receive friends at 226 Hopper Creek Rd, London, Kentucky following the graveside service
