- Mrs. Jessie McCoy, 44, a resident of Brooks for nearly 20 years, died Friday in a Portland hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral services were held Monday at Salem with Rev. Dudley Strain officiating. Interment was at Belcrest Memorial park.
Born in Kentucky Sept. 19, 1904, Mrs. McCoy came to Oregon more than 20 years ago and lived a short time in Salem before moving to Brooks. Survivors include the widower, Andrew McCoy, Brooks, two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Hall, Newport, and Mrs. Lona White, Siletz; two sons, Alfred McCoy, Gervais, and Ivan McCoy, Ft. Lewis, Wash.; the parents, Mr., and Mrs. LeRoy Daley, Colorado; four sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Davis and Mrs. Gertrude Strawn, both of Salem, Mrs. Alice Mock, Colo. and Mrs. Lillian Zimmerly, Portland; and two brothers, Evan Daley, Salem, and Ben Daley, Colo.
