SERVICES HERE FOR J.T. HALE
Funeral services for James Thomas Hale, 85, Denver Colo., who died May 23 in the Old Masons
Home, were conducted at 7 o'clock Friday evening at the home of his son, Roy Hale, at Cold Hill
by the Revs. George Cole and Layton Vanhook.
Masonic rites were held at the grave the following morning at the grave in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery with the House Funeral Home in charge. Officiating were the Revs. Cole and William Stewart.
A Laurel County native, Mr. Hale was born July 2, 1870 at Bush, the son of Dr. J.T. Hale and Mrs. Mahala Sasser Hale. He was married to Cuie Tuttle, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Hale, a retired millwright, had been a resident of Colorado for the last twenty-nine years.
Besides the son, he is survived by five daughters, Mrs. W.H. Greene, London, Route 1; Mrs. J.R. Wilkerson, Junction City, Kansas; T.J. Green, Gadsden, ALA; Mrs. W.L. Clark, Corbin; Mrs. Roy Perry, Whitley City; and nineteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. He also leaves two sisters and three brothers, Mrs. John Mullins, Corbin; Mrs. Lloyd Burkhart, Lake; D.B. Hale, Lawton, OK; J.R. Hale, London; and Milford Hale, Cane Creek.
