Otis Bolton, 81, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky. Born April 9, 1922, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a Kentucky Department of Transportation employee, a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II, and was a member of the Old Path Holiness Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nannie (Hale) Bolton and John Bolton.
Survivors include his wife, Reba (Short) Bolton of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; five daughters, Mary Sizemore of London, Kentucky, Eulene Asher of Andrew, Indiana, Louise Dixon of Columbus, Indiana, Irene Asher and Ruth Carrol, both of Dalton, Georgia; three sons, Charles Bolton of Wabash, Indiana, Merle Bolton and Don Bolton, both of Dalton, Georgia; a sister, Roxie Witt of Corbin, Kentucky; a brother, Clifford Bolton of Indiana; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Bowman and the Rev. Kaney Hoskins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Hale Cemetery in the Robinson Creek Community with the local DAV in charge of military honors. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
