PENNINGTON GAP, Va. - Faye Laningham of Pennington Gap, Va. was born in Harlan County, Ky. on Thursday, May 15, 1919 and passed away Tuesday (Oct. 10, 2006) at the Lee Nursing & Rehab Center in Pennington Gap, Va. at the age of 87 years.
Faye retired as Director of Support Services in a nursing home in Dayton, Ohio and was a member of the the St. Charles First Baptist Church. Faye was a resident of Ohio for several years and a resident of Lee County, Va. the past 29 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Junior Laningham; one son, Jerry L. Redman; one daughter, Peggy Sue Lovell; parents, George and Juanita Phillips; five sisters and four brothers; three grandsons, Mark Ebright, Scott Ebright and Brian Miser; and one granddaughter Linda Sue Miser.
Faye is survived by one son, Jimmy Ray Ridings of McAlpin, Fla.; three daughters, Virginia Ebright and husband, Herbert of Dayton, Ohio, Pauline B. Bridges and husband, Conard of Union Bridge, Md., and Janice Laningham Scott and husband, Taylor of Pennington Gap, Va.; 25 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until time of service today at Province Funeral Home, Pennington Gap, Va.
Services will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home sanctuary with Paul Davis Jr. officiating.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
