- SMITH, MAMIE ARLETTIE - age 93 of New Tazewell, was born June 16, 1911 and passed away July 15, 2004 at her residence. She was a member of Taylor's Grove Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed greatly. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff of The Dialysis Clinic, Inc. in New Tazewell. She was preceded in death by: Husband: Chester Wallace Smith Parents: John Taylor and Caroline Houston Carter Sons: Jackie Smith, Wilson Smith Daughters: Maggie Lorene Smith, Ethel Marie Smith, Mary Caroline Smith 1 Brother 1 Sister 3 Half-Brothers. She is survived by: Son: George and wife Wanda Smith of New Tazewell Daughters: Bonnie Smith and special friend Charles Cinniamon of New Tazewell Grandchildren: Angie and husband Daniel Miracle, Steve and wife Angel Smith, Michael and wife Valerie Smith, Randall and wife Crystal Smith 7 Great Grandchildren 3 Step Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 16, 2004 in The Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 17, 2004 in The Claiborne Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Johnny Robinson and The Rev. Rick Carter officiating. Music by Taylor's Grove Church Choir. Burial in The Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
