Coy Lee Cox, 43, formerly of the Tateville community, Pulaski County, Ky., passed away Sunday, Dec. 9, 2007, at his residence.
He was born in Somerset, Ky., on Jan. 1, 1964, to the late Hayden and Betty Ridings Cox. He was a member of Grave Hill Baptist Church for 40 years.
He is survived by a brother, Gary (and Pat) Cox, Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Connie (and Charles) Gibson, Somerset; four nephews, Michael (and Charlene) Cox, Custer, Ky., Keven Cox, David (and Deanna) Gibson, and Charles (and Amber) Gibson, Jr., all of Somerset; two nieces, Tammy (and Tommy) Jasper, Tateville, and Beverly (and Frank) Baker, Somerset; nine great-nephews, Matt Jasper, Tateville, Charles Jasper, Tateville, Charlie H. Smitson II, Sadieville, Ky., Gary Cox, Custer, and Derrick Ruark, Cody Cox, Austin Gibson, Kyler Gibson, and Kurtis Gibson, all of Somerset; six great-nieces, Sara Gibson, Somerset, Betty Ruark, Somerset, Jordan Cox, Custer, Jessica Jasper, Tateville, Jennifer Mount, Radcliff, Ky., and Corina Bland, Lexington, Ky.; two great-great nephews, William Bland, Lexington, and Trever Allen Smitson, Sadieville; and a great-great niece, Allysa Brook Smitson, Sadieville.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Patsy Ridings and Claude and Martha Minnie Cox; and a great-nephew, T.J. Jasper.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Grave Hill Baptist Church at 2 p.m. with Bro. Brandon Wilson and Bro. Stanley Childers officiating.
Interment will follow in Grave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held today, Dec. 11, at 5 p.m. at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.
