JONESVILLE, Va. - Nancy Byrd Warner passed away Thursday (Aug. 7, 2003) at her home.
She was born May 29, 1911 in Lee County, Va. Mrs. Warner was a member of Flatwoods United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cam and Emma Jessee Newman; three brothers, Chris Newman, Otie Newman and Barlow Newman.
Surviving are her loving husband, E.W. (Roe) Warner ; one daughter, Louise W. Bledsoe and husband, Ray of Jonesville, Va.; two sons, Billy H. Warner and wife, Mary Gene of Jonesville, Va., and Jim Warner and wife, Linda of Pennington Gap, Va.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Molly Sewell, Ruby Ely and Bonnie Hopkins, all of Jonesville, Va.; one brother, Cam Newman Jr. of Jonesville, Va.; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home in Jonesville, Va.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jim Marshall officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Warner Cemetery on Wallens Creek.
Those wishing to attend the graveside services are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to go to the cemetery in procession.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
