— Sabra Virginia Miller Gibson, daughter of the late Charles and Nealie Ridings Cundiff, was born in Pulaski County, Ky. on Friday, Nov. 6, 1914, and she departed this life peacefully at the NorthPoint Health Care Center in Lexington, Ky., having attained the age of 92 years.
She was first united in marriage to Mr. Homer Lewis Miller on March 23, 1932, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1995. Seven children blessed this union; two sons, Sammy (and Brenda) Miller of Broadhead, Ky., and Donald (and Patricia) Miller of Rex, Ga., and five daughters, Maxine (and Eddie) Whitis of Somerset, Ky., Geraldine Miller of Dallas, Ga., Christine (and Eugene) Meece of Somerset, Ky., Norma Jean Jasper of Somerset, Ky., and Linda (and Kenneth) Speer of Lexington, Ky. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
Other than her parents and first husband, she was also preceded in death by her second husband, William Cecil Gibson, whom she married on Nov. 8, 1995. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1999. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Estel Cundiff, Joe Cundiff, and Robert Cundiff; one sister, Priscilla Cundiff Harmon; two daughters, Margaret Louise Miller and Mary Elizabeth Miller; two grandsons, Michael Wayne Meece and Mark Wilder; and one granddaughter, Jenny Smith.
Sabra was a member of the Somerset First Church of the Nazarene. She was a kind person who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She leaves a host of relatives and friends who mourn her passing and celebrate her homegoing.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 9, at the Chapel of the Pulaski Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Dunbar officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bobbitt Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Sunday, April 8.
