FUNERAL SCHEDULED
TODAY AT SANGER
Pilot Point, April 12, ----- William Isac coffman, 87, died Saturday at 8:15 p.m. at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Oca Burns, Denton, route 1, after an illness of about a week. He recently suffered a broken hip received in a fall.
Funeral service were to be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Sanger Baptist Church, with the Beck Funeral Home in
Pilot Point in charge. the Rev. Clyde Beck of Sherman, Baptist Minister, was to conduct the services. Burial was to be in Belew Cemetery, with grandsons as pallbearers.
Born June 12, 1860, in Tennessee, he had lived in Texas 63 years. He was retired farmer, and lived in this
area most of his life. He and Miss Sara Kearley, who died in 1926, were married in Virginia. He was a Mason and a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors are three sons Jim Coffman of Garland, Curt Coffman of Grand Pass, Oregon, and Elza Coffman of
Grand Pass Oregon.; three daughters, Mrs. Will Flake of Caddo, Okla., and Mrs. Myrtle Scroggins of Vernon, and Mrs. Oca Burns of Denton, Route 2; and one sister, Mrs. Katherine Kearley of Denison.
NOTES: William was buried in Belew Cemetery between Aubrey and Pilot Point.

Edward (Ona's son--Cecil Ona was child of Elza Ervin) said surname was spelled Kaufman. William changed it when he moved to Sherman, Grayson Co., Tx. from Virginia 1885. It is now spelled Coffman.

BURIAL: Directions to Cemetery and graves
Take Highway 380 E to Highway 377 to Aubrey, Pilot Point Exit. Turn right onto it. Then go 8 miles North on
377 to Belew Rd. turn left (West) to Cemetery.
Belew Cemetery is located in North East Denton Co., Texas off Highway 377 between Aubrey and Pilot Point.
Go through front gate where Building and Entrance with Belew Cemetery Name on Wall. take the first paved
street to the left from entrance. About 1/2 to 3/4 down the street (about 100 yards from fence), there is a large Cedar tree. The graves are located to the left of the tree. In the front of the graves is the head stone for the Seitz Graves, Bonds Graves, and also a grave that looks like a storm cellar.
They are buried in a plot with the following graves:
