Funeral services for Clarence Tiller Sr., 57, of Carbondale, Colo., former Rock Springs resident who died suddenly following a heart attack at his home Saturday morning, May 10, were held Thursday afternoon at Vase Funeral Home in Rock Springs.
Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Volder Courtier, Jackson R. Forbes, William Domson, Joseph Tardoni, and George and Wayne Rogers.
The son of the late James and Emma Grindill Tiller, Mr. Tiller was born at Bevier, Mo.; July 11, 1911. He was a former long-time resident of Rock Springs, leaving this city 10 years ago, after the mines closed. He had lived in Carbondale since that time.
At the time of his death, Mr. Tiller was a mine foreman for Mid-Continent Coal and Coke Co.
Surviving are his wife, the former Grace Jackson, Carbondale; three sons, John David, Clarence Jr. and James Charles, and one daughter Clairann, all of Carbondale; one brother, Bill, Carlsbad, N.M.; one sister, Mrs. Irene Wiggins, Macon, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.
One son, William, preceded him in death.
