He served his country in the United States Air Force as an Airman. He was the owner of Ridings Auto Service in Greenville. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 55 years, Betty Ridings. He is survived by his children, Ellen (Mike) Yeager of Greenville and David Ridings of Greenville; four siblings, Earl (Barbara) Ridings of Tazewell, TN, David Ridings of Griffin, GA; Guertrude Edmaison of Tazewell, TN, and Wanda Carper of New Castle, IN; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and special friend, Lois Ray.
