- Patsy is survived by her husband of almost 56 years, Algie Gray Crouse. She was preceded in death by her parents Benton Crockett and Ollie Mae Trail Pickle; two sisters Lucille Bradley and husband Glen, Emma Lambert of Reidsville, NC, two brothers, Clifford Pickle and wife Ruth, James Conley Pickle and wife Christine and nephew Larry Bradley of Glade Spring, VA. Many nieces and nephews survive.∼MARION, Va. Patsy Pickle Crouse, age 82, of Marion, Va., passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at her home. Survivors include her husband of almost 56 years, Algie Gray Crouse of Marion, Virginia; nieces and spouses, Baja Conrad and husband. Elliston, Alice Porterfield and husband, Sonny, and Dottie Davis and husband, Jerry, all of Abingdon, Virginia; Mona Hortenstine and husband, Joel, of Norcross, Georgia; Deborah Cameron of Cleveland, Ohio, Sandra Siegrist and husband, Howard, of Neward, Ohio, Amy Daley and husband, Robert, of Clyde, Ohio, and Beverly Downs and husband, Denny, of Boise, Idaho. Also surviving are nephews and spouses, Carol (Larry) Bradley of Glade Spring, Virginia, Don Bradley and wife, Jenny, of Roanoke, Virginia, Michael Bradley and wife, Alice, of Knoxville, Tennessee, James Lambert and William Gary Lambert, both of Reidsville, North Carolina, and Michael Cameron and his wife, of Brunswick, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benton Crockett and Ollie Mae Trail Pickle; two sisters, Lucille Bradley and husband, Glen, Emma Gene Lambert of Reidsville, North Carolina; two brothers, Clifford Pickle Cameron and wife, Ruth, James Conley Pickle and wife, Christine; and nephew, Larry Bradley of Glade Spring, Virginia. Patsy graduated from Marion High School in 1951, went to work as cashier for Parks Belk for one year and was then employed by the Lemmon Transport Company for thirty-two years. Both Patsy and Algie retired from Lemmon Transport in 1984. She was a member of the Pilot Club of Marion until it disbanded and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Marion. Patsy's family will receive friends at the Seaver-Brown Funeral Home in Marion, Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with the Reverend David Woody and Reverend Neville Mozingo officiating with burial to follow at Crouse-Wassum Family Cemetery on Wassum Valley Road in Smyth County.
