  	Helen Ruth Welch Markwalter, age 86, of Bluff City, TN passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at her residence. She was born June 25, 1936 in Washington County, VA to the late Mitchell Welch and Nada Inez Robertson Cress. She retired from Bristol Regional Medical Center as a switchboard operator and also retired from Holston Bus Company, for whom she had driven a school bus for many years. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Markwalter. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Darlene Nickels and husband Fred, Kathy Bailey and boyfriend Bob Repass; six grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; thirteen great great grandchildren; niece, Penny Martin; nephew, Michael Roark; and special family member, Kari Allison. A graveside service for Mrs. Markwalter will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, February 13, 2023 in Glenwood Cemetery. Weaver Funeral Home
