- Hazel Ardith Lawson Moore, age 90, of Bristol, TN passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in the Indian Path Medical Center.
Although she suffered from Alzheimer for over 15 years, her death was a direct result of a head injury received in a fall at Wellington Place Assisted Living at Colonial Heights in Kingsport, TN on Monday, September 23, 2013.
She was born October 2, 1923 a daughter of the late Ed and Mary Lawson. She resided in St. Charles, VA before moving back to the Bristol area in 1969.
Mrs. Moore was a member of the Holston Valley Christian Church. She was preceded in death by husband Ralph T. Moore, an infant daughter Connie Lynn, son-in-law Donnie Carter, and several brothers & sisters.
She is survived by Devoted Daughters Judy Holman and husband Jim, Brenda Ricker and husband Philip, Betty Carter, Kathy Napier and husband Rick Grandchildren: Michelle, Lenee, Kendra, Brianna, Josh, Jarid and Holly Great Grandchildren: Mallory, Tyler, Tessa, Abbey, Caleb, Katie, Levi, Maddie, and Caroline Sister: Eva Houser and husband Bobby Several Nieces and Nephews
A funeral service will be held 8:00 pm, Thursday, October 10, 2013 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Howard Taylor officiating.
The burial will be 11:00 am Friday in the Cecil-Frye Cemetery in Pennington Gap, VA with Minister Randy Aldridge officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Carter, Jarid Napier, Bill Loran, Steve Epperson, Tyler Epperson, and Josh Terry. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:45 pm prior to the service at the funeral home Thursday evening.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain States Hospice, 101 Med Tech Parkway, Suite 100, Johnson City, TN. 37604.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Indian Path Hospital ER, 2nd Floor ICU, 4th Floor Doctors and Nurses, Mountain State's Hospice, caregivers-Betty Fannon and Tina Lushini for their loving care, support and prayers.
