- Ada Dorcas Hensley McGeorge Evans, 85 of Stanford, died Thursday August 14, 2014. Born June 7, 1929 in Rutledge, TN she was the daughter of the late Kyle B and Ada Curl Hensley. Dorcas was a homemaker and a member of 1st Baptist Junction City, Kentucky. Dorcas was predeceased by her husband Johnny McGeoge and Ray Evans as well as two sisters, Ruth Jones and Kathleen Boley.
Dorcas is survived by her children, Brenda McGeorge (Dale) Denton of Stanford, Steve (Gail) McGeorge of Morristown, TN, and step daughter Sue (Bruce) Pinkston of Dayton OH, siblings, K.B. (Sarah) Hensley of New Market, TN, Roberta (Ron) Kamp of Chicago, IL, and Betty Bivens of Piedmont, TN, grandchildren, Tony (Jennifer) Denton, Aaron (Katrina) Denton, Jarod (Jennifer Saif) Denton, Jonathon (Crystal) McGeorge, and great grandchildren, Seth Denton, Meghan Denton, Kaiden Denton, and Tyler Denton.
The funeral service will be 6 p.m., Sunday August 17, 2014 at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market, TN with Rev. Dale Denton officiating. Visitation will be from 3 – 6 p.m., Sunday August 17, 2014 at Fielden Funeral Home in New Market, TN. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Jefferson City, TN. Pallbearers will be Tony Denton, Jarod Denton, Aaron Denton, Jonathon McGeorge, Jerry Boley, Jackie Boley, Tim Puckett, and Tom Puckett. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth, Meghan, Tyler, and Kaiden Denton.Memorial donations are suggested to 1st Baptist Church of Junction City Building Fund.
