She is survived by her husband, Leon T. Scroggins of Turlock; children, Melvin Vessel of Eugene, Ore., Oscar Vessel, Jerry Vessel and Joyce Garrison, all of Turlock, and Danny Vessel of Denair; and 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Larry Vessel. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. www.Modbee.com
