- JoAnn Oney entered the gates of heaven Thursday, December 19, 2013 after 79 years lived abundantly. She was born November 24, 1934 to Elmer and Ammie Talkington. She married the love of her life, James Morgan Oney on April 29, 1955. JoAnn is survived by her husband James; son James and his wife Pat of Celeste; daughter Jo Carol Duncan and husband David of Caddo Mills; grandchildren Kristy Amelia, Tim West, Mandy Erwin, J. T. Oney, and Akeisha Randolph; great grandchildren Charmayne and Austin Randolph, Bryson and Sean Amelia, Taylea West, Hunter Hopkins, and Rylan and Avery Erwin; brother Gerald Talkington and his wife Darlene of Decator; sister LaVerne Baird of Ft. Worth. Those gone before her include her mother and father, and Chester Talkington, her brother. JoAnn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. JoAnn enjoyed singing in the choir at Central Baptist Church in Garland. The family invites you to join them in a celebration of the life of JoAnn during visitation Monday, December 23, from 10:00 am to 11:00am at Lynch Funeral Home, Caddo Mills. The Funeral Service will be Monday, December 23, at 11:00am at LYNCH Chapel Caddo Mills with Don Simpkins and Tim West officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be James Oney, Tim West, J.T. Oney, Mike Amelia, Jared Erwin, Robert Randolph, Tracy Talkington, and Russell Ragsdale. Interment will follow immediately at McWright Cemetery in Celeste.
