- Mrs. Beulah Mae Warren Easterly, age 84, of the Mt. Zion community in Science Hill, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Cumberland Nursing and Rehab in Somerset, KY. She was born in Poodle Doo (Pulaski County), KY on Sunday, August 17, 1930, the daughter of John and Biddie Dick Warren. She was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. She worked hard on donations for the upkeep of the Mt. Zion Cemetery. She was always trying to improve the church and was a big hand in seeing about bathrooms for the church. She loved to sing. She waitressed at local restaurants, including Amons Bakery, Pete’s Café, Turk’s, Dinner Bell and Midway Restaurant.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Ray Easterly, whom she married on Wednesday, December 10, 1947 and who preceded her in death on August 23, 2003; her siblings, Nellie Haste, Lola Denton, Vernie “Peanut” Warren; five infant siblings and her great-grandson, Bently William Easterly.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (and “Bill”) Dick of Science Hill, KY; Ruth Ann (and Howard) Brown of Somerset, KY; Boyd (and Debbie) Easterly of Science Hill, KY; Lloyd (and Peggy) Easterly of Science Hill, KY; Wilma (and Paul) Ferguson of Somerset, KY; Lois (and Jack) Nelson of Memphis, TN; her siblings, Amos Warren of Science Hill, KY, Clarence “Red” Warren of Somerset, KY, Maureen “Margie” Dykes of (Dahl) Shopville, KY; her grandchildren, David (and Misty) Dick, Jody Brock, Robbie (and Gretta) Tarter, Sherry Isaacs, Martin (and Stephanie) Easterly, Christopher (and Mashana) Easterly, Lora (and Brian) Godsey, Andrea Johnson, her step-grandchildren, Andrew (and Jessica) Francis, Matthew (and Melinda) Francis, Jasmine Peavey, Jackson Peavey, Michael (and Christy) Ferguson, Ben Nelson, Greg (and Margaret) Brown, her great-grandchildren, Jacilyn Dick, Taylor Brock, Haley Jo Brock, Brooke Isaacs, Cheyenne Isaacs, Rinna Tarter, Chase Easterly, Jackson Easterly, Brianna Godsey, Jaden Godsey, Sebastian Johnson, her great-great-grandchildren, Kensington Isaacs and Remington Stigall, a host of other relatives and many, many friends.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. (EST) at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Science Hill, KY with Bro. Howard Godby and Jack Nelson officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00 a. m. on Thursday, June 25, at the church until the funeral hour. Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, KY is honored to be in charge of funeral arrangements.
