- DRYDEN, Va. - Clides Cloud, 87, went to be with her Lord at Lee Regional Medical Center in Pennington Gap, Va., on Friday (Jan. 2, 2004).
Born in Clairborne County, Tenn., she had been a resident of Indiana and Lee County, Va., most of her life. She worked at a factory and bakery in Indianapolis, Ind., and operated a beauty shop out of her home for years. She was a member of the MEOC in Pennington Gap, Va.
She was a member of the Dryden Baptist Church in Dryden, Va.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Cloud; parents, W.H. and Rachel Shelton Ridings; one sister, Ceonia Ridings; 10 brothers, Luther, Willie, Clifford, Andrew (Nig), Julius, Richard, James (Snook), Claude, Odie and Charles Ridings.
Clides is survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nieces, nephews, her church family, and many friends and special friends and caregivers, Peggy and Bud Stidham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Province Funeral Home in Pennington Gap, Va.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in the sanctuary of the funeral home with the Rev. Henry (Bud) Stidham officiating.
Burial will follow at Lee Memorial Gardens in Woodway, Va.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
