NANNIE BOLTON

Nannie Bolton, 80, Route 4, London, died at 8:45 p.m. April 18,
at the Marymount Hospital. She had been in ill health for two years.

A lifelong Laurel Countian, she was born Jan. 28, 1892, the daughter
of the late James and Nancy Williams Hale. She was a member of the
Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bolton leaves a daughter, Roxie Whitt, Lily; and two sons, Otis Bolton,
Route 4, London; and Clifford Bolton, IND; A sister, Fannie Walkins, Tuttle;
and two brothers: M.C. Hale, St. Charles, VA; and Sid Hale, Tuttle;
17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bowling Funeral Home by Rev. A.J. Cupp.
Burial was in the Hale Cemetery, Tuttle.

Otis Bolton, 81, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, died Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin, Kentucky. Born April 9, 1922, in Laurel County, Kentucky, he was a Kentucky Department of Transportation employee, a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II, and was a member of the Old Path Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nannie (Hale) Bolton and John Bolton.

Survivors include his wife, Reba (Short) Bolton of East Bernstadt, Kentucky; five daughters, Mary Sizemore of London, Kentucky, Eulene Asher of Andrew, Indiana, Louise Dixon of Columbus, Indiana, Irene Asher and Ruth Carrol, both of Dalton, Georgia; three sons, Charles Bolton of Wabash, Indiana, Merle Bolton and Don Bolton, both of Dalton, Georgia; a sister, Roxie Witt of Corbin, Kentucky; a brother, Clifford Bolton of Indiana; 23 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, January 23, at the London Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Henry Bowman and the Rev. Kaney Hoskins officiating.

Burial will follow in the Hale Cemetery in the Robinson Creek Community with the local DAV in charge of military honors. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

Ms. Ruth Ellen (Bolton) Carroll, age 61 of Rocky Face, GA passed on Tuesday September 10th, 2019. Ruth was born on December 15th, 1957 to her late parents, Otis and Anna Marie (Thomas) Bolton in London, KY. She was a member of the Baptist faith and worked as a convenience store clerk for Kangaroo corporation. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, daughter, Samantha and sister, Sheila.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday September 14th, 2019 from the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clyde Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Ballew Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday September 14th, 2019 from 11:00am until the service at 2:00pm at the funeral home.

He was a native of New Jersey, the son of Alonzo Charles Whitt and Roxie Bolton Whitt.
He was a foundry worker. He is survived by his mother, Roxie Bolton Whitt, Lily and the following sisters and brothers: Lonnie June Marcum, Summan, Indiana; Joann Heald, Chattanooga, Tennessee; Flora Mae McFadden and Eugene Whitt, London and Earl Whitt, Lily. Funeral services were held in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles R. Kirby officiating.
Burial was in Hale Cemetery, Blackwater, by Bowling Funeral Home.
