    Edith B. Hardin

    Edith B. Hardin, age 87, of Sinking Creek Road, London, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2004, in London.

    Born February 5, 1917, in Whitley County, Kentucky, she was a cook at Marymount Medical Center and a member of the First Christian Church in London.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice (Harville) Hale and Sid Hale; her husband, Zack Hardin; and 14 brothers and sisters.

    Survivors include three daughters, Connie Wheeler of Richmond, Kentucky, Gaye Jones and Marsha Steelman, both of London, Kentucky; a son, Allen Hardin of Norfolk, Virginia; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, September 19,a t the London Funeral Home Chapel with Greg Deaton and Patty Mancuso officiating. Burial followed in the Locust Grove Cemetery at Keavy, Kentucky.

    Pallbearers were B.J. Reid, Jason Steelman, Tony Jones, Josh Bullard, Scott Clark and Edward Mancuso.

    llan L. Hardin (Pop) left us suddenly on Thursday, June 10, 2010.
    He was only 62 and had just retired with so many plans.
    He loved his baby dog Priscilla, hunting, fishing and gardening.
    Born December 4, 1947 in London, KY to Zach R. and Edith Hale Hardin (both preceded him in death).
    He had made his home in Norfolk, VA with his wife and best friend of 28 years Linda Hardin;
    two loving daughters, Kim (Jamie) Meharg and Denise Conrad;
    two beautiful grandchildren Brayden and Alyssa Meharg;
    three dear sisters, Gaye (Millard) Jones; Marsha (Jack) Steelman and Connie (Jack) Wheeler;
    best friends Bo (Alice) Mahon and their family; along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
    In honor of his wishes he will be cremated without a funeral service because we love him so dearly, we carried out his wish.
    The family would like to extend our appreciation to everyone thinking of all of us at this time of great sorrow.
    Allan was an organ donor so he will live on.
    Cremation Society of Virginia is assisting the family.
