    Dan Hale, age 102, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
    He leaves behind his loving wife of 76 years, Alma Arthur Hale; nine children, Brenda Reams, Linda Arnold & husband Luther, Roger Hale & wife Charlotte, Ronnie Hale & wife Sandra, Danny Hale & wife Debbie, Von Brock & husband David, Carol Begley & husband Denver, Lisa Benge & husband Wendell, Mark Hale & wife Deronda, all of London, KY; twenty-six grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren, seventeen great, great grandchildren; one brother, Jerry Hale of London, KY; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, James Wesley Hale and Virgie Anders Hale; four siblings, Curtis Hale, Gerlene Hale, Irene Galloway, Virginia Rockwell; two grandchildren, Eric Hale, Stephen Baker; one great grandson, Jesse Cobb.
    Dan enjoyed fox hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a professional tater peeler. He loved being with family and friends and playing music. Dan was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of Hightop Baptist Church.
    Funeral services for Dan Hale were held on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Hightop Baptist Church. Burial followed at Hale Cemetery in London, Kentucky. Military honors were provided by the local DAV Chapter 158 of Keavy, Kentucky. The family entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.

    Wilma Irene Galloway, 91, of Spencer, and formerly of Greencastle, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015.

    She was born on Sept. 14, 1924 in London, Ky., to Jim Hale and Zora Virgie Anders Hale.

    Wilma was a graduate of London (Ky.) High School. She was a member of Good Tidings Tabernacle and had attended Greencastle Grace Tabernacle.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Eugene Galloway, and a son, Gary Galloway.

    Surviving are her children, Larry Galloway and wife Rhonda of Reelsville, Jerry Galloway and wife Missi of Gosport, Paula Patton and husband LeeRoy of Cloverdale, and Marla Sanders of Greencastle; two brothers, Dan Hale and wife Alma of London, Ky., and Jerry Hale and wife Colleen of London, Ky.; a sister, Virginia Rockwell and husband Ronald of London, Ky.; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

    Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Greencastle Grace Tabernacle, 407 Percy L. Julian Drive, with Bro. Juston Galloway officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

She was the mother of Karen Elaine Rockwell Montgomery and husband Kent, Ronald Kevin Rockwell and wife Larissa, all of London, Kentucky and Kathy Rockwell Joy and husband Michael, of Greeneville, Tennessee; the grandmother of Cindi Reams Wagers, Ronnie Reams, Jenna Marie Rockwell, and Adam Kevin Rockwell; the great grandmother of Eli Reams and Lucy Reams; the sister of Dan Hale and Jerry Hale, both of London, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Virgie Anders Hale and also her sister, Irene Galloway. Funeral Services for Virginia Lee Hale Rockwell will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016 in London Funeral Home Chapel with Ronnie Hale officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery.
