Mrs. Mary Beulah BRUNER, a resident of London, Ky., died Tuesday, October 2, 1990 at Marymount Hospital in London, Ky., at the age of 91. She was born on June 24, 1899 in Laurel County, Ky., the daughter of the late George Daniel RIDINGS and Lillian JONES RIDINGS. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Curtis H. BRUNER of Cincinnati, Ohio, Vernon L. BRUNER of Troy, Mich., and Dexter BRUNER of Livonia, Mich.; two daughters, Mildred I. CUMMINS of Westland, Mich., and Agnes L. SHEARER of Bakersfield, Ca. Services were conducted Saturday, October 6, 1990 at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel in London, Ky. Burial was in Warrens grove in London, Ky. Bowling Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Agnes Lucille Shearer was born on September 3, 1927, the youngest of 6 children, to Gilbert and Beulah Bruner in Arjay, Kentucky and passed in her sleep on November 6, 2022 after breaking her hip on August 12, 2022.
Agnes met James (Harold) Shearer after his discharge of the Army and was married in Detroit Michigan 1946. They soon picked up and followed Harold's family to Bakersfield, California.
Agnes was a loving mother to daughter Margaret (1952) and son James (Jim) Jr (1948).
Agnes was a homemaker, excellent baker of desserts, until children were in school and started her career with Thriftimart Market (the Big Red T), on Niles St and closed the last store on Ming Ave a career which lasted 28years.
Agnes, an excellent bowler, could be found at Westchester, Freddie's or Roadway Lanes, visiting with friends, where she was a 500 Club member. She loved tournaments.
Agnes was preceded in death by husband Harold, 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by daughter Margaret Thompson (Kirk), son Jim (Deedee). Grandchildren Aimee Harris, Jamie Henry (Jason), Jessica Shearer, (Juan Lomeli), Tim Caudle (Anita). Great Grandchildren, Stephanie Heflin (Jorman), Zack Henry, Garrett Henry, Kaitlyn Caudle, Amanda Munson and Mckinsey Caudle.
