    Margaret Robinson

    KEWANEE - Margaret L. Robinson, 80, formerly of Neponset and Kewanee, died at 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2005, at Royal Oaks Health Care Center, Kewanee.

    Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, 2005, at the Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. The Rev. K. Bruce Rushing will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery, Neponset.Memorials may be directed to ALS Foundation or the First United Methodist Church, Kewanee.

    She was born on May 15, 1925, in Bradford, Ill., the daughter of William Craig and Thelma N. (Damon) Ridings. She married Arthur E. Robinson on Oct. 9, 1943, in Kewanee. He preceded her in death on March 11, 1973.

    She is survived by four sons, James A. (Della) Robinson of Good Hope, Ga., Joseph A. (Jean) Robinson of Seneca, Ill., Roger L. (Becky) Robinson of Galesburg, Ill., and Raymond C. (Carol) Robinson of Neponset, Ill.; one daughter, Mary (Don) Brady of Neponset, Ill.; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Betty DeBlieck of Kewanee.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Joyce Lindsey, and a brother, William C. Ridings Jr.

    She graduated from Kewanee High School in 1942. She had worked as a bookkeeper at various businesses in the Neponset and Kewanee area.

    She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee.

    She enjoyed knitting, gardening, reading, traveling and spending time with her children, grandchildren and lady friends, with whom she played cards and traveled.

    Betty Joan (Ridings) DeBlieck, 93, of Kewanee, IL., passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Kewanee Care Home. She was born to Thelma (Damon) and William Ridings at her grandparents' home in Bradford, IL., July 1,1928.
    Betty married Lawrence (Larry) DeBlieck August 9,1947. He preceded her in death November 6,1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother William Ridings, and two sisters, Margaret Robinson and Joyce Lindsey.
    Betty is survived by two daughters, Carol (Steve) Bender, Youngsville, NC., and Janice Forsythe of Kewanee, IL; one son, Randall DeBlieck of Kewanee; five grandchildren, Scott Bender, Chuck (Julie) Forsythe, Chad (Amanda) Forsythe, Mark (Tara) DeBlieck, and Mallori DeBlieck; and 11 great grandchildren.
    Betty loved to bake and make Christmas cookies, fudge, and divinity to share with family and friends. Her family was the center of her life.

    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 5 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee.
    Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.

    Roger Lee Robinson, 65, of Galesburg, died at 10:02 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Fr. Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials can be directed to the American Diabetes Foundation or the Galesburg District #205 Foundation.

    Roger was born on June 27, 1951 in Kewanee, the son of Arthur and Margaret (Ridings) Robinson. He married his high school sweetheart Rebecca "Becky" Kemerling on March 3, 1973 in Kewanee. In addition to Becky, he is survived by a son, Guy (and wife Billie) Robinson of DeKalb; a daughter, Amber (and husband Ben) Kincaid of New York, NY; two grandchildren, Meila and Willow Robinson; and his siblings, Jim (and wife Della) Robinson of Good Hope, GA, Joe (and wife Jean) Robinson of Seneca, IL, Mary (and husband Don) Brady of Neponset, and Raymond (and wife Carol) Robinson of Neponset. He was preceded in death by his parents.

    Roger graduated from Neponset High School in 1969. He had worked as the Director of Buildings and Grounds for Galesburg School District #205, as well as several positions at Hyster in Kewanee. He was a former member of Visitation Catholic Church in Kewanee, and an avid golfer at Baker Park, Lake Bracken Country Club, and Midland Country Club. In addition to golf, he enjoyed fishing, traveling to warmer climates, and spending time with family. Roger's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through tissue donation to the Gift of Hope.
