Valparaiso - Cora E. Horner, 94, of Valparaiso, died Monday, Jan. 4, 1993.

She was born June 6, 1898, in Maysville, Ky., the daughter of James and Effie (Meadows) Kegley.

A resident of Valparaiso since 1923, coming from Gibson City, Ill, she was a beautician at Lowenstine's Department Stor.

On May 30, 1926, in Valparaiso, she married W. Ford Horner, who preceded her in death in 1984.

Surviving are one son, Richard of Michigan; one daughter, Ruth Ann Cheney of Valparaiso; one brother, Bruce Kegley of Ohio; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Services are 1 p.m. Friday at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Valparaiso; the Rev. Toni Carmer officiating; burial at Graceland Cemetery; visitation 3-6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home; memorials to Porter County Cancer Society.
