Jewell "J.D." Ridings, age 95, of Dayton, Ohio passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Laurelwood Senior Living. J.D. was born in Somerset, Kentucky on March 27, 1923 to the late Joseph and Lilly Ridings.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Victor Ridings; sister, Wilhemina Wells. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara (Steve) Kramer; grandson, Steven (Tracey) Eric Kramer; granddaughter, Kathleen Kramer; grandson, Mark (Lisa) Kramer; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Madeline, Liam, and Nate Kramer. J.D. was a devoted husband, father, papaw and all around "Mr. Fix It." He was always willing to help family or friends with anything and even spent time volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. He was a proud WWII Navy Veteran.

WELLS, Wilmena (Ridings) age 77 of New Lebanon, Ohio, went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of Wednesday April 7, 2004, Born in Bobtown, KY on May 13, 1926 to Joe and Lillie (Claunch) Ridings. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband of 18 years James Earl Wells Sr., infant daughter Toni Rae Wells and brother Joe Vic Ridings. Survived by sons James E. Wells Jr. and Richard L. (Mary) Wells all of New Lebanon, Ohio; daughter Mary K. Price of Kodak, TN; 10 grandchildren, Billie (Chris) Wells--Phillips and Scott Wells, Jimmy, Dwayne and Steve (Jodi) Price, and Jessie, Bocky, Miranda and Lana Lou Wells and Molly Wallace; 9 great-grandchildren Sara, Tiffany, Nicole, Jessi, Tanner, Tatum, Casey, Rachel and Parker; sister-in-law Bertha Ridings and brother and sister-in-law Jewel and Ethel Ridings and her church family from the First Baptist Church of Farmersville where she was a member for over 40 years. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Saturday April 10, 2004 at the ROGERS FUNERAL HOME, 324 West Main Street, NEW LEBANON with Pastor Tom Vorhis presiding, burial will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery. Wilmena's family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home from 4 to 7 PM.

WELLS, Jr., James "Jim" Earl Age 64 of New Lebanon, passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012. He was born Oct. 30, 1947. Jim was preceded in death by sister, Toni Raye; and his parents Wilmena (Ridings) and James Earl Wells Sr. He is survived by daughter, Billie Phillips, of Brookville; son, Scott Wells of Clayton; cherished grandchildren, Casey James and Rachael Marie; sister, Mary Price of Kodak, TN; brother, Rick (Mary) Wells of New Lebanon; ex-wife and friend, Patricia (Terry) Brombaugh of New Lebanon; many nieces, nephews, and , many friends. Jim was a 1966 graduate of Dixie High School. He served in the United States Army, worked for General Motors for 32 years, and was a member of American Legion Post 762. A memorial gathering will be held at the New Lebanon American Legion Post 762 on Friday Oct. 19, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.
