    My grandfathers name was Claude Cameron Coffman. His fathers name was Henry Coffman and his mothers name was Elizabeth Newman. My grandfather(Claude) was born June 4,1898 in Lee Co. Va. he had 2 brothers John and MacKenly and 5 sisters: Coney, Maude, Pansy, Mertle and Bulia. He married my grandmother Allice Perkins on 5-5-1919 in Cumberlin Gap Ten. I don't know if his brother John is the same one you are looking into but I hope this helps. I also would like to thank you for the book info. as I would like to have a copy myself and you be happy to pay for it in advance.     ohnie Calvin Coffman, age 94, of Waynesville (from 1945-2019) and lately Washington Court House, passed on Friday, August 13.

    A quiet, soft-spoken, a fiercely family man, a job setter of American machines, a builder of bikes for countless kids, a happy player in any sporting game, a saver of seeds, an exhaustive vegetable grower, an adviser to countless home projects, a collector of things of yet unknown use, an owner of everything tool or nail, the mold for the Energizer Bunny, and a close friend to his God.

    A WWII Army veteran, Johnie married, in 1950, Marjorie Eileen Williams of Bellbrook (d. 2019). He worked for 45 years at Frigidaire (later Harrison Radiator). He was a proud lifelong IUE member, Master Mason at Waynesville Lodge 163 since 1981 (Worshipful Master 1991), a member of the Scottish Rite, and Miami Cemetery trustee (1997-2009). His passions were his Bible, singing gospel sings, and his church, Dodds Free Pentecostal, serving as a trustee for 40+ years.

    He will be missed by his daughter Cathy and husband Dick; his son John and wife Rhonda; his grandson Justin and wife Katie; his grandson John Tyler, wife Meagan, and children Mason, Gavin, Cooper, Cohen and Beckett; his sister-in-law Dorothy Gompf; his living siblings Harold, Dorothy Johnson, Tina Williams, Robert, Gerald, David and Theresa Lamb; many nieces, nephews and their families; and his church community. Johnie sorely missed his parents Claude and Alice (Perkins) and his departed siblings George, Clara Head, Pauline, Elizabeth, James, Roy, and Ralph.

    The family will receive friends 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM Saturday, August 21 at Dodds Free Pentecostal Church of God at 3157 Old 122 in Waynesville. He enjoyed ministering for the Lord, attending church, serving the community, spending time with his family, gardening, travel, and attending auctions. James was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-one years Betty Hughes Coffman in 1999; son Daniel E. Coffman in 2007; his parents; brothers George, Roy, and Charles; and sister Pauline. James was employed by NCR for twenty-nine years and retired from General Motors after eleven years of service. He also owned and operated Coffman's Transmission for thirty years.     She assisted her parents on the farm for many years. Prior to working on the farm, she worked nearly 10 years at NCR. Loving and kind, she enjoyed cutting up and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also strong willed and lived a simple life. Other enjoyments in life included crossword and Sudoku puzzles, sewing, and watching soap operas. She will be fondly remembered for her Santa mailbox and her Easter egg hunts.

    She was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Alice Coffman; six brothers George, Charles, Ralph, Roy, and Rev. James Coffman; and two sisters Pauline Coffman and Clara Head. She is survived by her daughter Teresa (Randy) Lamb; grandchildren Elisha (Justin) Beckett and Nick (Holly) Lamb; great grandchildren Brooklynn, Baylee, Brayden, and Crosley; five brothers Johnny (Eileen), Robert (Sharon), Gerald (Juanita), Harold, and David (Sherry) Coffman; and two sisters Dorothy Johnson and Tina (Larry) Williams.

    COFFMAN JR., George Henry, age 74, of Waynesville, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021 at St. Leonard Retirement Community in Centerville.

    George graduated from Waynesville High School, class of 1968. He attended a Secondary School of Industry in Louisville, Kentucky following high school. From a young age, he was raised as a Pentecostal believer and kept his Christian faith his whole life. He retired after 35 years of work from General Motors - Frigidaire.

    He loved being around water, whether it was water skiing, boating, or fishing. His favorite places to travel were Rocky Fork Lake, Lake Erie, and the family property in Sevierville, Tennessee. He also greatly enjoyed golfing and bowling. He especially loved funnel cakes, so much that he had a funnel cake trailer that he would take to different festivals and events. He had a special place in his heart for all animals, especially his dogs. In his spare time, he enjoyed volunteering at a variety of different events including the spring clean-up at Miami Cemetery in Corwin. Woodworking was also one of his hobbies, which he used to help his wife make decorative wreaths.

    He was an assistant in many local Girl Scout Camps, including Camp Stonybrook in Waynesville, Camp Whip Poor Will in Morrow, and Camp Butterworth in Maineville. He continued as an assistant even after being stricken with Parkinson’s disease.

    He is preceded in death by his parents George and Zelma Coffman. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cherle, one daughter Karen Coffman, and one granddaughter Katelyn Abney. There was always a special place in his heart for his daughter and granddaughter.

    The family will receive friends 10:00 - 11:00 AM Thursday, February 25 at Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home in Waynesville. Burial will be at Miami Cemetery in Corwin.     COFFMAN, Aaron "Craig" age 53 of Waynesville passed away Sun. Oct. 4, 2015. Craig grew up in the Dodds Pentecostal Church and was a 1981 graduate of Waynesville High School and the Warren County Career Center. He was a self employed electrical contractor for over 30 years. A member of the Waynesville American Legion, he was also a vocalist and bassist for the band Circus Ricky. He greatly enjoyed playing foosball and playing music with any instrument with a string on it. Craig was very proud of his sons. As a man who always enjoyed helping others, he continued to help others even after his death by being an organ and tissue donor. He was preceded in death by his father Roy Coffman. He is survived by his three sons Aaron D., Daniel, and Adam Coffman; his mother Alice Coffman; four brothers Jeff (Melinda), Gary (Kim), Michael (Tabby), and Eric Coffman; two sisters Amy Coffman and Tora Coffman-Foley; and several extended family members and friends. Funeral services 11 AM Fri. Oct. 9 at the Dodds Pentecostal Church. Bennie Sutherland and Zach Coffman will be officiating. The family will receive friends 5-9 PM Thurs. at the church. Stubbs-Conner Funeral Home, Waynesville is serving the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made toward Craig's funeral expenses. Condolences at www.stubbsconner.com.
