    COFFMAN, Chester Lynn Age 85 of Potsdam, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018. He had retired from General Motors with over 30 years of service. Chester was a member of the V.F.W. Post 9582 in Vandalia. In his younger years, Chester was an avid baseball and basketball player. He later enjoyed watching sports and game shows and enjoyed gardening and playing euchre. He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Carolyn (Wireman) Coffman, children: Debbie (Coffman) Hayes of Potsdam, Vanessa Gail (Jamie) McIntosh of KY, Dean Hayes of Tipp City, grandchildren: Brittany (Daniel) Bojorquez of Dayton, Koty Hollon of KY, sisters: Merle Gunter of TN, Dot Engelauf of GA, Brenda Ashburn of IL, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: John Henry and Jessie (Hite) Coffman and brothers: Marion Benjamin Coffman #42351043 and Roscoe Hite Coffman #28931336. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the V.F.W. Post 9582 (4170 Old Springfield Road, Vandalia) with Pastor Pam Hitchcock officiating. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The Kindred Funeral Home, Englewood is handling arrangements. www.KindredFuneralHome.com.
