Sentinel Echo. London, Kentucky. August 21, 1969, Victor Hale, 75, Lida, died at 11:22 a.m. August 13 at Marymount Hospital. A native of Laurel County,he was the son of Franklin J. and Lucinda Sasser Hale. Mr. Hale was a veteran of WW1 and a member of the Blackwater United Baptist Church. He was married to the former Allie Ledington, who survives.Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ina Fay Hale, Mrs. Janice O'Neal and Miss Elma Lisle Hale, Lexington; two sons, Edsel Hale, Clarkston, Mich. and Maxwell Hale, Lida; one sister, Mrs. Nannie Sasser, London and 12 grandchildren.Services were held August 15 by the Revs. Layton Vanhook and Lowell Gilbert at House Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment was in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tilmon Hale, Hobart Hale, Robert Ledington, Verlin Holt, Russell Mullins and Farrett Taylor.

Ina Faye Hale, 87, London, Ky., passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Saint Joseph-London. A native of Laurel County, she was born Sept. 24, 1923, the daughter of the late Victor and Allie Hale. She was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University and was a school teacher for 36 years in the Laurel County School System. She was listed in “Outstanding Personalities of the South” in 1967 and in “Outstanding Elementary Teachers of America” in 1974. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, General “Hawk” Hale; and two brothers, Edsel Hale and Max Hale. Survivors include a daughter, Anita Beryl Mullins and husband, Carson, London; a son, Michael Darrin Hale and wife, Lynn, London; two sisters, Lisle Hale, London, and Janice O’Neal, Zollo, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jerry Mullins and wife, Angie, James Mullins and wife, Constantine, and Dalton Hale, all of London; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 22, at House-Rawlings Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Columbus Hensley and David Lawson officiating. Burial followed in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery on Blackwater Road. Pallbearers were James Mullins, Jerry Mullins, Matt Hale, Robert Ledington, Harold Hughes and Felix Hale. Visitation was from 12:30 p.m. Sunday until the funeral hour.

Elma Lisle Hale
March 5, 1925 - April 5, 2016
Elma Lisle Hale, age 91 of London, passed away on Tuesday, April 5 at Laurel Heights Home for the Elderly.

She leaves behind one sister, Janice Hale O’Neal of London; sisters-in-law, Lena and Sue Hale, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor & Allie Ledington Hale and three siblings, Edsel, Max and Ina Faye Hale.

She was a retired computer analyst with Greyhound International of Cleveland, Ohio, member of Central Baptist Church of Louisville, Kentucky Colonel, avid genealogist and a licensed pilot. She loved and adored her family and friends.

Funeral services for Elma Lisle Hale will be conducted on Thursday, April 7 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.

Maxwell C. Hale, 64, 236 Parker Road, London, died Wednesday April 7, 1993 at his residence.
A native of Laurel County, he was born Dec. 22, 1928. The son of Victor and Allie Ledington Hale,
he was a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion and an
Air Force veteran. Mr. Hale is survived by his wife, Sue Cathers Hale; three children, Jennifer Renee and Margaret Allie Hale, and Harold Douglas Hale, all of London; three sistersn, Ina Faye Hale, Lule Hale and Janice O'Neal, all of London. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edsel Hale.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, April 9, at the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel
with Bill Mays officiating.

Burial followed in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Blackwater.
