Ethel Mae Newman Sexton, 87, of Lancaster, formerly of Jonesville, Va, passed away Monday at the Ephraim Mcdowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. She was the daughter of the late Lula Greer Newman and Oatie Newman. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ewill Newman and Charles Newman, A sister, Mary Edwards, and a Son in law Henry Lee Stapleton.
Survivors include a daughter Sue Doolin(Jimmy) of Lancaster, a daughter Linda Stapleton of Moorehaven Fl., a sister in law Reeda Newman Johnson of Mentor Ohio. Four grandsons, Chris Doolin, Edmonton,KY, Justin Doolin, Lancaster, KY, Jeremy and Toby Holman of Moorehaven, FL and a very special great-grandson Baylee Doolin.
A Celebration of Life service will be 7:PM. Thursday at the Spurlin Funeral Home with the Reverend Tony May officiating. Visitation will be 4-7 P.M. Spurlin Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial will follow Friday 1 PM. at the Millers Chapel Cemetery in Jonesville. VA.
Pallbearers will be Grandsons.
Ethel married William Leonard Sexton on 1 Jan 1953 in Lee Co, VA, and was divorced on 10 May 1961 in Lee Co, VA. William was born about 1909; died on 6 Dec 1993 in Wythe Co, VA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
