Lynn Woodard of Pennington Gap, VA. passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the age of 57 as the result of a farming accident.
Lynn was born on June, 19, 1955. He was an employee of Southern Coal Corp. and he loved farming. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Ceonia Ridings Woodard.
Lynn is survived by sons, Nate Woodard of Arlington, VA, and Tommy Woodard of Radford, VA.; the mother of his children, Pat Kennedy of Big Stone Gap; sisters, Retha and husband, David Cole of Dryden and Marsha and husband, Winston Terry of Big Stone Gap; brothers, Eddie and wife, Kristi Woodard and Tim and wife, Gina Woodard, all of Pennington Gap, Jimmy and wife, Becky Woodard of Keokee; best friends, Aunt Glenda and Uncle Bill Parks of Pennington Gap, Mike Janice and Ashley Robbins of Bonny Blue, and many special aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
The family will receive friends at Province Funeral Home, 42098 E. Morgan Ave, Pennington Gap, from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013.
A service to celebrate Lynn’s life will be held at 7:00 PM in the chapel with Rev. Layne Pennington officiating.
Graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Anderson Cemetery in Keokee.
The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 12:00 noon Thursday to go to the cemetery.
