    June Atkins Helton, age 102, formerly of Wytheville, VA, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the home of her daughter Brenda Helton Overbay in Marion, VA.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Mose C. Helton.

    Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Brenda Overbay & husband Weldon of Marion, VA; special grandson Jim Overbay & wife Hope of Christiansburg, VA; three special great-grandchildren Walker, Garrett, and Kelsey Overbay; along with several nieces, nephews, and friends to include special niece Rita Martin of Radford, VA, and special friend Margaret Linford of Marion.

    Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Monday, March 20, 2023, from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. John Langham officiating. Graveside services will immediately follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wytheville Presbyterian Church, 285 Church St., Wytheville, VA, 24382. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is serving the Helton Family.

    October 23, 1923 September, 20, 2018 Margery Emma Atkins Teany, 94, of Radford, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018. She was a faithful member of Old Brick Presbyterian Church of Radford. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alva Atkins; her husband of 56 years, Albert Ludlow Teany; daughter-in-law, Sharlene C. Teany; and son-in-law, David A. Martin, Sr. Survivors include her son, George (Rick) Teany of Radford; daughter, Rita T. Martin of Christiansburg; grandchildren, T.J. Teany of Christiansburg, David (Andy) and Teresa Martin of Check, and Kelly Martin of Radford; great-grandchildren, Logan Teany, Conner Martin, Kimberly Martin and Katie Martin; sister, June Helton of Wytheville; aunt, Sadie Repass of Atkins; sisters-in-law, Mary (Bill) Peterman, Sis Duncan, Mary Francis Teany all of Christiansburg, and Sally Boles of Roanoke; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Margery was known for her willingness to care for others, her hard work in her vegetable garden, and the many kettles of apple butter making that was always a great (social event) All was shared with family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Old Brick Presbyterian Church on Rock Road with Pastor Robert Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Teany Family Cemetery in Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday evening at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Old Brick Presbyterian Church or to Riner Volunteer Rescue Squad. The Teany family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Virginia.
