Helen Ruth Herrell - age 65, of Blaine, passed away Sat. June 11, 1997 at Hillcrest North. She was a member of Highland Springs Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Laura and Roscoe Shelton; brother, Eugene Shelton. Survived by husband, Lynn D. Herrell, Blaine, daughters, Rena Herrell, Knoxville, Janice Courtney; grandchildren, LaTonya and Jocelyn Mayes of New Market; sisters, Eula Tyler, Michigan, Leona Neal, Miss., Jerleen Range, Rutledge; brothers, Ray, Austin and Wade Shelton of Rutledge, Parlon W. Shelton of Clifton, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Funeral service 2 p.m. Wednesday, Fielden Chapel with Rev. Donnie Coffman and Lester Byrd officiating. Interment in Indian Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Fielden Funeral Home, New Market.
