SHELTON, WADE N. - age 69 of Rutledge went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2008. He passed away at Fort Sanders Hospital after complications from surgery. He was a member of Highland Springs Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Laura (Moore) Shelton; sisters; Edith Shelton, Leona (Bruce) Neal, and Helen (Lynn) Herrell; sister-in-law, Shirley Shelton; brothers, Austin (Shirley) Shelton, and Eugene (Helen) Shelton. He is survived by wife, Wanda (Sue) Shelton; daughters, Gale (Jackie) Cameron and Gwyen (Ernest) Hixon; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jason) Jones, and Joe (Krystal) Cameron; sisters Jerleen (Sonny) Range, and Eula (Ray) Tyler; brothers, Ray Shelton and Parlon (Josephine) Shelton; and several nieces and nephews. Receiving of friends and family will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Smith Funeral Home in Rutledge, with the funeral following at 8:00 p.m., with Rev. Bobby Myers and Rev. Hollis Dunsmore officiating. Family and friends will meet Friday, 10:00 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home and proceed to Indian Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery for the graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Shelton, Curtis Greer, Lynn Shelton, Jimmy Doane, Ed Schmidt, Frank Manning, Greg Shelton, and Brian Shelton. Arrangements by: Smith Funeral Home Rutledge, Tennessee.
