    James Litton Allen was born on 5 Aug 1927 in Harlan Co, KY; died on 3 Dec 2011 in Floyd Co, KY; was buried in Harlan Co, KY.

    Died:
    Boston - Kenneth E. Allen, 94, went to Heaven on December 7, surrounded by his loving family.

    Kenneth was born January 5, 1926, the second of five children to Joseph B. and Pheba O. Allen in Loyall, KY.

    After High School he was drafted in to the Army. He served for two years overseas during WWII. Upon his return home he opened a cabinet shop making beautiful furniture. He met the love of his life when she walked by the shop going home from school. They married on Christmas Day in 1947 and stayed married 69 years. They lived in Louisville approximately 26 years after living in North Carolina a few years. They then moved to Boston, KY for the next 37 years.

    Kenneth was a hard working home builder for many years. He loved fishing and had great stories about the "big ones" he caught. He also loved his family dearly and loved God and his church, College Heights UMC.

    Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell; his grandson, Ethan; his step-grandson, Dustin; his parents, one sister and three brothers.

    He is survived by his daughter, Teresa (Tom) Storck; two sons, Steve (Ava) Allen and Perry (Tresa) Allen; eight grandchildren, Clint, Heather, Kelli, Ian, Evan, Erin, Hunter, and Raquel; and eight great grandchildren.

    A special thanks to the Radcliff Veterans Center staff for their excellent care and love the past 3 1/2 years.

    The funeral is at 12 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home with Dean Whitaker officiating. Due to current state mandates the funeral will be for immediate family only and live streamed through the funeral home Facebook page. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
