    Mrs. Estel Boone Died Tuesday

    Was Prominently Known In St. Charles Section

    Mrs. Estel Boone, wife of St. Charlies Postmaster W. F. “Bill”
    Boone, died Tuesday at Lee General Hospital following a long
    illness, Mrs. Boone was well known in the St. Charles section,
    Her ability and desire to visit and help the sick and those in-need, had
    gained many close friends’ who grieved her parting.

    She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jobe Emmitt Sprinkle,
    and is survived by her husband, W.F. Boone and daughter, Geraldine Boone,
    Surviving also is her mother, Mrs. Nannie B. Stapleton, two
    brothers, Clyde and Glenn Springle, four half brothers, Roy, Ted,
    and Carl Stapleton and Curtis Woodward, also a half sister, Mrs.
    Bonnie Carter.

    Mrs. Boone was a member of the First Christian Church.

    Funeral services were conducted at the First Christian Church at
    St. Charles Thursday at 1 P. M., by the Rev. W. B. Moore of the
    First Christian Church of Pennington Gap and the Rev. Clinton
    Green of the First Baptist Church of St. Charles. Interment was in
    the Cecil Cemetery in Pennington Gap. Harlan Funeral Home in
    charge.
