    Roger Lee Robinson, 65, of Galesburg, died at 10:02 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 30, at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Fr. Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials can be directed to the American Diabetes Foundation or the Galesburg District #205 Foundation.

    Roger was born on June 27, 1951 in Kewanee, the son of Arthur and Margaret (Ridings) Robinson. He married his high school sweetheart Rebecca "Becky" Kemerling on March 3, 1973 in Kewanee. In addition to Becky, he is survived by a son, Guy (and wife Billie) Robinson of DeKalb; a daughter, Amber (and husband Ben) Kincaid of New York, NY; two grandchildren, Meila and Willow Robinson; and his siblings, Jim (and wife Della) Robinson of Good Hope, GA, Joe (and wife Jean) Robinson of Seneca, IL, Mary (and husband Don) Brady of Neponset, and Raymond (and wife Carol) Robinson of Neponset. He was preceded in death by his parents.

    Roger graduated from Neponset High School in 1969. He had worked as the Director of Buildings and Grounds for Galesburg School District #205, as well as several positions at Hyster in Kewanee. He was a former member of Visitation Catholic Church in Kewanee, and an avid golfer at Baker Park, Lake Bracken Country Club, and Midland Country Club. In addition to golf, he enjoyed fishing, traveling to warmer climates, and spending time with family. Roger's final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through tissue donation to the Gift of Hope.
