    SPRINGFIELD, IL - Mary Aileen Doyle, 99, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at the Illinois Presbyterian Home.

    She was born Aug. 25, 1916, in Greenfield, IL, the daughter of the late Virgil R. and Mabel (Haven) Koehm. She married Raymond Doyle in 1941, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1996.

    Aileen was a graduate of Blackburn College and taught in one-room schoolhouses for two years in Greene County, IL, until her marriage. After Raymond and Aileen moved to Springfield in 1942, she was a substitute teacher for District 186 schools. She was a member of First Christian Church and was very active in several organizations within the church.

    Aileen is survived by her son, Jim (wife, Martha) Doyle of Springfield; four grandchildren: Bonnie (husband, Todd) Kennedy of Springfield, Mike (wife, Dianna) Doyle of Springfield, Terry (wife, Paris) Doyle of Chatham, IL, and Kevin (wife, Savanna) Doyle of Villa Park, IL; two great-grandchildren, Chad Kennedy and Kristen Kennedy; and two brothers, George Koehm of Seal Beach, CA, and Roy Koehm of Greenfield, IL.

    Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Jackson of Topock, AZ.

    Memorial services will be held at First Christian Church in Springfield at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15 with the Rev. Rick Irwin officiating.

    Visitation will take place from 10:30-11:00 a.m.

    Per Aileen's wishes, cremation rites were accorded.

    Roy Adam Koehm, 92, of Greenfield, IL died Monday, June 11, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born December 18, 1925 in Greenfield, IL to Virgil & Mabel (Haven) Koehm. He married Mildred “Mickey” Anderson December 21, 1946 in St. Louis, MO and she preceded him in death November 25, 2008.

    Surviving is a son John Koehm of Reno, NV, a granddaughter Julie (Joe) Zavala of Woodland, CA, a grandson, Adam (Helen) Koehm of Reno, NV, two step-grandchildren, Luke and Theresa, a step-great-granddaughter, Petra, and a brother, George Koehm of Seal Beach, CA. Over the past eight years, he found companionship with a special friend Phyllis Uhlry.

    He was preceded in death by his wife and two sisters, Helen and Aileen.

    Mr. Koehm was a member of the Greenfield United Methodist Church and a lifelong farmer. He was a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor as well as a strong, hard working individual. One of Roy's favorite hobbies was dancing. He enjoyed country music, square dancing and polka. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and surfing the internet.

    A funeral service will be held at 4 pm Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Shields-Bishop Funeral Home in Greenfield. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 pm at the funeral home.

    Burial will follow at the Oak Wood Cemetery north of Greenfield. Memorials are suggested to the Greenfield United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society. Online condolences can be left at shields-bishopfh.com.

    James “Jim” Doyle, 76, of Springfield passed away on February 24, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center.

    Jim was born December 22, 1941 in Carrollton, IL, the only child of the late Raymond Ellis Doyle and Mary Aileen Koehm Doyle. He married Martha “Marti” Maddox on April 2, 1982.

    Jim was a field engineer for NCR Corporation for almost 40 years. He was a member of First Christian Church for over 50 years. He is a former volunteer for the Sangamon County Rescue Squad. He built and flew his own airplane and was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He was also a member of the Lincoln Land British Car Club and The Mild Hogs motorcycle club. Jim had many interests and hobbies, including restoring antique cars and motorcycles. He was devoted to his family.

    Jim is survived by his wife, Marti; daughter Bonnie (Todd) Kennedy of Springfield; sons Michael (Dianna) Doyle of St. Charles, MO, Terry (Paris) Doyle of Chatham and Kevin (Savanna) Doyle of Wheaton; and grandchildren Chad Kennedy, Kristen Kennedy and Kaiden Doyle. He is also survived by his uncles Roy Koehm of Greenfield and George Koehm of Seal Beach, CA; and several cousins. Survivors also include brothers-in-law Nathan (Lynda) Maddox and Matthew (Barbara) Maddox and sister-in-law Lenore (Doug) Sherwin.

    Cremation will be accorded by Staab Funeral Home.

    A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. at First Christian Church, 700 S. 6th Street, with Rev. Rick Irwin officiating. Visitation will be held preceding the memorial service from noon to 2 p.m. on March 3 at First Christian Church.
