Eleanor Stapleton, 66, Sarasota, died Dec. 10, 2003. She was born June 23, 1937, in Portsmouth, Ohio, and came to Sarasota in 1997 from Atlanta. She was a homemaker and a member of Sarasota Christian Church. Survivors include her husband, Roy M.; sons Jeff of Columbia, S.C., and Randy of Sarasota; a sister, Helen Singleton of Portsmouth; a brother, Donald Singleton of Fort Worth, Texas; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at Sarasota Christian Church. Wiegand Brothers Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Camp Sonshine Day Care, 2923 Ashton Road, Sarasota, FL 34231.
