DAVIS, W. EDWARD (ED) - age 81 of Maynardville, Tn. passed away at his home Saturday, February 14, 2009, following an extended illness. Mr. Davis was a member and deacon of Community Baptist Church. Preceded in death by one grandson, Glen E. Davis, Jr.; parents, sister, brother. He is survived by wife of 58 years, Ruby Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Glen and Jeanie Davis of Maynardville; daughter, Kathy Davis of New Tazewell; daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Darrell Perry of Maynardville; 5 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons, 2 great granddaughters, 1 great-great grandson; 3 brothers, cousins, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to J.B. and Lucille Stansberry and Community Baptist Church. Family will receive family and friends 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Ailor Mortuary. Funeral services to follow with Rev. Jody Winstead and Rev. Larry Beeler officiating. Singers: Berry Family and Community Singers. Interment 11 a.m. Monday at Milan Cemetery. Pallbearers, Michael Cosby, Robbie Cosby, Joel Davis, Steven Davis, Glen Lay, Larry Lay. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Community Baptist Church. Ailor Mortuary Maynardville.
