EDITH E. SANDERS, 97, passed from this life on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, with her family by her side. Her gentle spirit made all that knew her feel loved. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother who enjoyed sewing and talking to family and friends. Surviving are her children, Joey (Barbara) Sanders III of Fort Wayne, Donald (Phyllis) Sanders of Pineville, Ky., Marion (Cherie) Sanders of Fort Wayne, Roger (Charmain) Sanders of Fort Wayne, Jerry Sanders of Fort Wayne, Betty Baker of Barboursville, Ky., Wanda Delores Smith of Fort Wayne, Mary Nelson of Elizabethtown, Ky., and Dollie (Harold) Onkst of Pineville, Ky.; daughters-in-law, Marlene Sanders of Arjay, Ky. and Evelyn Sanders of Pineville, Ky.; 33 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joey Sarle Sanders; parents, Theo and Rena Bennett; sons, Bruce and Rev. H. David Sanders; sons-in-law, Terry Nelson Sr. and Richard L. Smith; and daughter-in-law, Karen Bates Sanders. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Mildred Bargo, age 80, passed away on November 22, 2007 at Caroleton Manor.

Born on July 5, 1927 in Arjay, Kentucky, she is the daughter of Theo and Renie Miracle Bennett; both who precede her in death.

Mrs. Bargo was associated with the First Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, work in the vegetable garden and spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughters, Joyce Sturgeon, Judy (Lonnie) McQueen, Carolyn Bargo, and Mary (Paul) Drew all of Connersville; sons, Matthew, Jr (Deborah) Bargo, Ronnie (Patty) Bargo, and Ricky (Peggy) Bargo all of Connersville; brothers, Charles “Bob” Bennett of Ohio, Joey (Dorlita) Bennett, and Earl “Jack” (Patty) Bennett both of Connersville; a sister, Edith Sander of Fort Wayne; 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Bargo, Sr. who passed away in 1984; a grandson Chris McQueen a brother, Fred “Bud” Bennett; 2 sisters, Winifred Treece and Marie Smith and 2 infant sisters, Betsy and Beula.

Funeral services will be at Urban Winkler Funeral Home on Monday November 26, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Randy Sherwood of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery.

Joey Bennett age, 79, of Connersville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday morning May 10, 2015 at Hickory Creek of Connersville, where he had been a patient for a approximately five months.

Born in Arjay, Kentucky on July 7, 1935, he is the son of the late Theo and Renie Miracle Bennett.

He was a member of the Woodland Bible Church where he was very active in church activities and had served on the Connersville Community Bible Missionary and Woodland Bible Church Board for over 30 years. He was a licensed Lay Pastor through the Woodland Bible Church for over 22 years ministering to the jail inmates at the Fayette County Jail.

Joe retired in 1993 from Ford Electronics and Refrigeration after 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, the former Dorlieta Strait, whom he married on July 23, 1960 in Liberty; two daughters, Lisa Miller and husband J.D. of Connersville and Amy Bennett at home; two sons, Randy Bennett and wife Shawny of Connersville and Mark Bennett and wife Nancy of Connersville; a brother, Earl Bennett and wife Patty of Connersville; seven grandchildren, Chelsea, Caitlin, and Kelly Bennett, Matthew and Alisha Bennett, and Zachary and Ty Miller; two great granddaughters, Rylie Gaddis and Emma Richardson as well as several very close nieces and nephews.
