    Ruby O. Keck, 90, of Monroe died at 12:20 a.m. Sunday in her home. She had been in poor health for six months. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Rupp Funeral Home. She will lie in state from 10 until services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Monroe Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Roy Southerland, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born Dec. 7, 1915, in Union County, Tenn., she was the daughter of Calvin and Margaret (Lyons) Tolliver. She married Charles Shackleford in 1931, in Claiborne County, Tenn. She then married Estil Keck on March 28, 1939, in Bowling Green, Ohio. He died Sept. 8, 1985. Mrs. Keck worked for Consolidated Paper Co. and then on the Manhattan Project in Oakridge, Tenn. For 25 years, she was a nurse's aide at Mercy Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1989. She was a member of Monroe Missionary Baptist Church since 1938. Surviving are three sons, Bill (Joyce) Shackleford of Longview, Texas, Gary Keck of Monroe and Larry (Mary Jean) Keck of Belleville; three daughters, Lorraine Diker of Fort Wayne, Ind., Janice (Bill) Hatfield of Monroe and Sharon (Rick) Thomason of Johnson City, Tenn.; two brothers, James (Elsie) of Monticello, Ky., and J.C. (Janie) of Williamsburg, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her second husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold Shackleford; three brothers, Ulys, Julius and Kenneth; four sisters, Frankie Bryant, Ella Mae Smith, Isora Tolliver and an infant, and two granddaughters, Christina Lower and Amy Thomason. Memorials may be made to the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church building fund or Mercy Memorial Hospice of Monroe. Online condolences may be sent through www.ruppfuneralhomeinc.com.
